Thank you to the Theatre Dance Council International for inviting me to the English Championships. The theatre young talent is outstanding. These youngsters are such lovely people who encourage and support each other. What a fabulous event for them to grow their performances.

It is with great sadness, that today we report the passing of our past President Mr Eric Rowland.

A very dear friend to many and mentor to many more.
A dancer for the majority of his life, running a full time dance school and an examineer with the United Kingdom Alliance.

For over thirty years Eric was President of the Guild. Well respected through out the dance profession in his ideals of promoting unity.
His knowledge,calmness and great diplomacy is going to be greatly missed.
The world of dance has now lost one very kind, gentle man and a great dancer, who’s knowledge and feel for dance has now gone

An amazing night at the TDCI Carl Alan Awards. Thank you for the kind invitation. It was lovely to see Angela Rippon CBE who won the Theatre Lifetime Achievement Award and on her ..th birthday too. Angela is spearheading the Sport and RecreationAlliance ‘Let’s Dance’ campaign which is simply to get more people dancing. We all know the health benefits. In Angela’s words, ‘Teachers are the backbone of our industry, let’s spread the word’. Happy Dancing.

Theatre Dance Council International British Championship finals.
My thanks go to the President and Gen Sec Mr Chris Booth for their invitation to attend these finals.
Most outstanding talent for the future of the stage branches. Stunning routines and musicality from every finalist, and all showing great effort to show their teachers routines.
This event has grown and grown over all these years and long may the success of the T.D.C.I. continue.

I had the wonderful pleasure of attending The Allied’s dinner dance last Saturday, held at Aintree Racecourse. The evening was held on honour of a great lady, The CEO and President Elect Carol Parry, who sadly passed away. I had the wonderful pleasure of working along side her for many years. Our heart felt condolences go to Carol’s family. She will always be in our dance hearts.
