Opera Warwick is a welcoming society for all those who love opera or are looking for performance and creative production experience at Warwick. We are arguably the most innovative student opera society in the country and are doing more than most professional companies to bring opera right into the 21st Century. As well as running smaller singing activities and performances throughout the year, we
regularly perform full opera productions, in English, at Warwick Arts Centre. We provide for instrumentalists, directors, producers, set designers, marketers, creative writers, technicians, and those who just like to watch a bit of opera, a fantastic opportunity to indulge their passion. We're thrilled to announce that tickets for Manon are now available!
A collaboration between Opera Warwick and Classical & Modern Dance, Manon will be performed, in English, on the 9th, 10th, 11th March. We've been working really hard and we can't wait for you to see it! Come enjoy a wonderful and affordable show!

Hey everyone!
Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) will be taking place on Monday 20th February (Week 7) at 5pm in FAB1.06. Every member is invited, and it is very important that you all attend. We will be discussing the society activities this year and our plans for the future, as well as electing our next exec!
If you are around next year, please consider applying for an exec role. The exec are the people who run the society and make things happen! No experience is required and it's a really great experience to have! Some exec roles are lower commitment if you're worried about not having enough time. We'd love to have a larger exec next year so the more of you that get involved, the more the society can do!
All members have been emailed a document explaining all of the exec roles available and how to apply. It's really easy to do, so please don't be put off by the process!
At present, the agenda for the AGM is:
1) Recap of the year and finances
2) Exections
3) Term 3 Plans
4) Any other business
If you'd like to add anything to the agenda that you want to talk about, in relation to how the society is run, then please email [email protected] by Saturday 18th February.

We are so excited to present to you… Manon ! An Opera Warwick production, fully performed in English, which will take place in the Warwick Arts Centre in week 9 of term 2.
Our workshop will take place on Monday 10th of October, from 5 to 7pm in Avon Drama Studio. Everyone showing up to this workshop will be part of the chorus so come along and have fun, you don’t need to have any classical training to be part of Manon !
Auditions for the soloists will be later during week 2 so keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram 👀

What time is it? 🎵 High School Musical: The Opera: The Workshop will be in LIB2 on Monday evening! Come along to find out more about this hilarious Term 1 production and how you can be involved!
The deets: Attendance is compulsory if you'd like to be in the show. Everyone who attends will be offered a role. You'll get a chance to meet the director one-on-one and chat about what kind of role you'd be interested in. You can sing a little something to demonstrate your voice, but honestly no pressure!!
