Day 19 and today I'm celebrating Jo Swann of Chocolate PR.

I first met Jo when she was one of the cohort for the very first BEE Inspired Live, and I captured her speaking on stage. Since then I've photographed her a number of times, at a book event of her own as well as with the journalists she brings together for BEE Inspired media panel Q&A. And of course not forgetting after party pics on the dance floor!

I love that Jo is not adverse to a bit of sparkle, so this photo with a gold background, taken at Istead AV during lockdown studio events, seemed a perfect choice. You will always find her with great energy and a big smile.

Jo gets incredible results for her clients, something I'm very aware of as the PR and magazine articles she gets often includes photographs I've taken, and I always love to see my photos popping up in different publications. For anyone unsure if they have a PR suitable story, Jo offers a range of support to help people explore their narrative, from short self led courses, to working closely with her 1:1.

We love getting a thank you from the stage at an event. Those two little words go such a long way. Yes we’re there to do a job, and we shouldn’t really be noticed, but we’ve always treated this as a measure of good companies, and good people, who go out of their way to thank us. It costs nothing, but its lovely to be recognised. Compared to some clients who just walk away at the end of an event, with not so much as a goodbye! Be kind and say thank you 👍🏼

Tonight’s band. All very good, but the sooner they finish, the sooner we can go to bed! 😴

Waistcoat no more. Dave Sharpe is now officially a Rock God! 🤘🏼 🎸 Best walk on ever! 🤜🏼💥 Although we all know it’s because of the lighting and excellent sound support, but we’ll let Dave have his two minutes 😁

We’d love you to watch this. It’s exactly why our customers work with us. It also supports our recent post saying that you DO NOT have to use the in-house AV team at venues! So nice to be recognised and appreciated. This is wonderful 🥰🎤💡

One year ago today we dismantled our Spotlight Streaming Studio. The studio saved our business during Covid. ‘Build it and they will come’…..and they did!! Such great memories in such a challenging time. So proud of what we achieved. Gone but never forgotten 😍

Amazes us every year how quick they build the stage for the Super Bowl half time show. So much planning and rehearsals will go into this. 800 people involved. We have sleepless nights when we have to set up events through the night, let alone in 7.5 minutes!! Amazing 👏

A highlight this year was supporting the Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer ball and fashion show.
