Hi, it's me, Roxie.

I always feel so awkward posting photos of myself on here, I have no idea why. Especially when I'm doing my best model pose 😂.

If you dont know already, I got married in october ( the best day ever), so I wanted to showcase and talk about my bouquet really.
I had absolutely no idea how I wanted my bouquet to look, I did not have a vision for it at all.
I remade it 5 times. It started with a whole heap of other flower varieties in it, but it just wasn't feeling right to me.
I eventually settled on frothy hydrangea, green parot tulips, phalaenopsis orchids, some mini green tipped anthurium, and personalised trailing ribbons and I loved it. Was it my dream bouquet? Probably not. Am I still obsessed with it, though? Absolutely.

If you have ever had a consultation with me, you will know I always say that getting married is a journey. You learn so much along the way which means at the time of making decisions on decor and flowers its quite possible that what you think you want is not what you actually want, you just haven't learnt about it yet. So I always make sure it's absolutely not a problem to not know what you want at the beginning, and I always remain fully flexible with what you order.
If you get a few months out and decide to change your whole wedding vibe, that's absolutely not a problem with me. If you are anything like me and change your mind every 2 minutes, then the least I can do is allow you to be able to make as many changes as you need, just like I did.

Happy 1st anniversary to this gorgeous pair.

Some couples you just really click with, these guys were amazing to work with. I had the best time getting to know them.

They knew exactly what they wanted, Amy did an incredible document with all the details for every area. If she ever wanted a change in career she would make a fantastic wedding planner haha.

They opted for beautiful bright florals to reflect their personal styles and teamed it with modern black framework.

SOFT & BOLD

There is something about this heat that just makes me want to play with colour. Love this bright bold red, softened with floaty, delicate textures and candlelight. I adored styling this shoot.

I'd love to get creative with a bold yellow, green or hot pink colour palette for the summer.

Back at yesterday for a beautiful spring wedding for L&D.

It was so nice to be back here, I loved creating this arch and playing with these pretty colours.

The floor arrangements were actually little table meadows that were moved onto the tables and styled with candles after the ceremony. It was such a good way to repurpose your florals.

LETS TALK CAKE

Let's face it, that showstopper wedding cake isn't cheap, right? It's so easy to just pop it on a table and be done with it. But that's such a shame. Highlight that beauty, show it off.

What if I told you that you can create a gorgeous cake set up like these for very little to no extra cost?? You would think I was crazy!

But hear me out...

By repurposing your ceremony flowers and styling, you can create a gorgeous cake set up. No extra cost. You had it all there anyway. It's just about shifting it about to create something new. If you want to be even smarter after the cake cutting, these setups can be used as a photo backdrop for your guests in the evening.

I love to repurpose your flowers. If you invest in some good pieces instead of spreading your budget too thinly trying to cover every surface with a flower, you can use these impactful pieces all day long.

Your wedding flowers cost more than any other flowers you will ever buy, and that's a fact. (Unless you live like a kardashian or something) but a wedding is a luxury, so everything is expensive. Unfortunately, that's just how much it costs to produce. We dont add a 0 on just because it's a wedding, believe it or not.
I'd say 99% of wedding businesses are self-employed people. Everything is handmade and bespoke for you. A lot of love, sweat, and tears go into each individual wedding, with many hidden costs and details you wouldn't even think of.
So you may as well make the most out of it. Anyone who is married will tell you it is literally the best day of your life. Enjoy every minute.

For me it's all very personal, I really want to do my best for you. I want it to be the day you dreamed of, and if that means shifting big floral arches about so you can have an epic cake set up and not have to pay for it twice I will 😂.

Well, this week so far has consisted of consultations, quotes, big clean of the studio ready to see some of my couples this weekend, brand new downloadable information document, brand new quote formating, and a very subtle rebrand (I will share more soon.) I'm currently still working through quotes and updating my styling and hire catalogue.

I'm going to start working on some content next week, which is a bit more information on what I offer and what you can expect when looking to book your wedding flowers. Hopefully, it should be of some help to all of those newly engaged couples.

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. I am thoroughly enjoying my time off with family and just relaxing without any worries.

I am officially back to work as of the 8th (I know, who do I think I am 😂)
But I'm definitely getting the itch to come back sooner. My brain is swirling with ideas, and I'm really looking forward to doing something creative.

It's our last wedding of the year this weekend, it's going to be a beautiful festive wedding and I'm loving it. Smells incredible 🌲.

I will have all emails replied too, and remaining quotes sent out on Monday, and then I have a very rare 2 weeks off over Christmas. Which I am really looking forward too.

I was going through some of last years wedding images the other day, this wedding will always be one of my favourites. My dream bride, who just rolled with all of my ideas and had some amazing ideas herself. Just the most perfect set up. Still obsessed with her bouquet.

I am back, I'd like to say refreshed, but I'm really jet lagged, haha.

We have returned to all of our wedding photos 😍, I will share some more with you all once we've had a good look through them all. I love them though

I replied to all my emails late last night (scheduled them for this morning so I didn't wake anyone 🙃)

I have 3 weddings scattered throughout next week so please bare with me whilst I prioritise these and try and resume a normal sleep pattern 😅.

VIOLETA & RHYS Thursdays beautiful set up at the stunning @primrosehillfarm. This was my first time here, and I hope it's not the last. This venue is gorgeous, the big glass windows and all the little details were just perfect. Loved all the textures and elements we added to the tables along with violetas colour palette of rusty orange, coral tones, soft pinks, whites and a pop of floaty chocolate cosmos. Just beautiful.

Another amazing week of weddings. Finishing it off with an absolutely beautiful dusty blue wedding today at @hamptonmanor. I just wanted to take some time to say a massive THANK YOU to all my brides and grooms from the last month for being so understanding and so laid back about the current flower shortages and for trusting me to source alternative flowers to what they were suppose to receive. This is yet again a very trying time for the wedding industry due to massive flower shortages and price increases. Take a look at my story for more information from a fellow florist.
