Debonair Dance Academy was formed in 1999 by professional dancer Debbie Baggott. Coming from a showbiz family, it was inevitable that Debbie would go into the business. After gaining advanced honours in ballet tap modern and freestyle, Debbie went into a career in show business, working in summer seasons and pantomimes all around the country with Shirley Bassey, Joe Longthorne, Russ Abbot, Cannon

and Ball, Brian Connely, Shane Ritchie to name a few. Since forming, Debonair have enjoyed many successes including performing at many prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty's Theatre, Disneyland Paris and aboard cruise ships for MSC. Dancers from Debonair have featured in numerous pantomimes alongside the Chuckle Brothers.

Huge congratulations to Carter Mundon our pupil who has successfully auditioned for the Royal Ballet Junior associate course .🩰🎉
They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but it does at Debonair ,in fact this is our 3 rd successful boy student to gain a prestigious place with the Royal Ballet .

following in the footsteps of Ben Brown who is enjoying an amazing career dancing all over the world for Matthew Bourne and James Garrington who now dances professionally for the Scottish Ballet!

Debonair will be cruising next July from Miami , visiting Ocean Keymarine reserve, Bahamas, Jamaica and Grand Cayman Islands.
Performing 4 dance medleys to thousands of holiday makers from around the world .
We have a team of 26 dancers .

Welcome To Debonair Digital Dance Academy

We’re ready to launch DEBONAIR DIGITAL DANCE ACADEMY today (Thurs 26 March)! We’ve been working very hard over the past week and are delighted to share our online portal where you can practice your dancing from home! Here’s how you can join in: Classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are at the cut-down rate of £10 and ready to access now. Payable by BACS to Debonair Dance Academy | Sort Code 40-13-29 | Account Number 11509985. Once paid, you will be invited to join a private group and access hours of footage with new content from Debbie being added all the time! You will need to pay for the classes each week in order to continue access to the new and updated content. When paying please enter in the reference your child’s name and day of class so we can add you to the correct online group. Friday drama/panto class will be £5 starting tomorrow. The Wednesday senior class and Thursday Disneyland class will each be £5 and we hope to start these classes online next week. With regards to Disneyland Paris, we have to stay hopeful in these hard times that we can still travel and perform in Disneyland in August. In the event that we can’t go, please don’t worry that all your hard work has gone to waste. We will perform our show to family and friends at the dance studio on a Saturday teatime followed by a French themed party! We “can can can” at Debonair! Thanks for all your support in keeping the dance school building maintained during this period of closure. Now put your dance shoes on and keeeep dancing!
