We will be holding our Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 13th December at 1pm

I want to put something into perspective! There has been 39 Mondays so far this year minus the four where we have had no choice but to cancel due to the problems with the toilets overflowing and sewage covering the floors.
Now factor in stock runs, filling fridges, setting up and clearing away. Shopping for meat draw, bingo tickets, flyers and raffle tickets. Washing dishes, glasses and clearing up.
Occasional pie and pea put in for good measure with food prep and cooking and serving food.
Not to mention the other events we hold through out the year for the benefit of the community, the community that includes easthartford and the surrounding area.
Now to be told that we do nothing for the community is not only insulting but disheartening to the committee and the volunteers that ensure we keep our doors open and continue to offer services to everyone! Please be kind and try and be understanding where we have issues, these impact more than a Monday night bingo! Room users throughout the week are also impacted and we as committee spend hours shovelling dirty water off the floors to keep the place going. We have to factor in a lot and decisions to close are not taken lightly, we factor in the health and safety of all to ensure we comply with the law and everyone enjoys the services we provide.
If your truly unhappy please let the council know, I’m pretty sure at this point we have tried everything in our power to fix the toilets but we are not plumbers and are in the mercy of the powers that be to come and resolve our issues. We do this all for free all for the love of the local community…. Before you complain to us in future think about this!
No form of verbal/physical abuse will be tolerated and will result in you being asked to leave! We put in a lot to provide what we do, round our jobs and families it’s not easy, if you think it is then come and volunteer and see things from our side. We love what we do and want to see the centre thrive but we need local support and more positivity to succeed.

bingo is on, there will be no heating or toilets available. The jackpot is off for the people who don't want to come and freeze 🥶🥶🥶 and will resume where it was left next week

**Bingo Cancelled** unfortunately, after the parties this weekend we have had issues with the toilets leaking and flooding. The drainage company have been out, but we need a plumber to come and redo some of the pipe work. This mean unfortunately we will have no running water / heating this evening so bingo is called off. See you all next week !
