Slow Sundays// I propagated the roses I had in a vase as they were showing signs of new life with new shoots and leaves! I cut the stems above and below the new shoots and dipped the ends into rooting powder before popping them into a pot of peat free John Innes compost. I didn't have any potting grit, so this will be a little experiment to see if it works!. The pots are currently sitting nicely in the greenhouse, but I may being them into the kitchen and onto the windowsill...stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed this works!

Using loo roll tubes for sowing sweet peas is a great way to save the pennies as well as the plastic. I also like to reuse plastic plant pots for Ranunculus and anemones. Don't forget to presoak your seeds (picture 2)!
