The week it was…
Last Monday I turned 50!!!! Not sure how it could be possible because I still believe I’m in my twenties…😂😂 anyway!
I was surrounded by love…that is the thing I prefer.
From the amazing cake baked by my lovely @hannahkyd , to the wonderful gifts from my husband, kids and friends, to the amazing surprise birthday party organised by my love @silviopala07 and my other love @nick.pala .
I was so happy that I forgot to take pictures, and it’s fine because the memories will last forever in my mind and heart.
The only pic is with you @mihaelas_catering …it means a lot!!!
Thanks to everyone who was part of it…now I’m ready to embrace my “30” 🤪🤣🤣🥳
Our very first Dinner & Wine Experience at the vineyard was a huge success! Thank you to @woodchurchwine for her amazing wines and thanks to all our guests for making it special. We had such a great feedback and everyone loved the wines (and the food) 🧆💕
We are doing it all again next Saturday and we have some spaces left.
For booking contact directly the vineyard at https://woodchurchwine.co.uk/collections/events/products/wine-tasting-and-dining-experience and reserve your special place ❤️❤️

150 gr of grated Parmesan
100 gr of butter
1egg
1yolk
Nutmeg and salt for seasoning the milk
Lazy Sunday...weather is not great...and after a late breakfast there is no room for a proper Sunday Roast...so...one of excellence of the Italian’s street food...is to have a bit of “tasty fun” with the family all together!
Piadina... I did some adjustments because in Covid times is not easy find the right ingredients.
Recipe :
For 16 PIADINE
500 g plain flour
80 g di lard (I used 50 ml di extravergine olive oil)
250 ml of water
1/2 table spoon of salt
Mix all together with a kitchen robot( I have the Thermomix and in my opinion is one of the best purchase I ever did...20yrs ago )
Divide the dough into 16 pieces of the same weight to give the shape of balls. Take one at a time, keeping the other covered by a cloth, and spread them with a rolling pin on a freshly floured pastry board. You have to get a thin sheet, about 2-3 millimeters thick.
Heat a non-stick frying pan, without adding oil or other fats, and when it is very hot put the dough disc. As soon as bubbles start forming, poke them with a fork. Cook for a couple of minutes on each side. Continue until cooked
Fill the piadine with your favorite or traditional ingredients such as mozzarella, ham and rocket salad. Enjoy😘😘
Few a customers asked me a vegan idea for a tasty pasta 🍝 dish...Spaghetti primavera with courgette and pine nuts pesto and tomato sauce. Instead than Parmesan I used flakes yeast...I hope you have fun to make it!! Enjoy...
