Back home after a long Italian holiday full of deliciousness and carbs!
I think I ate my body weight in agnolotti and little patisserie. Just to say, this morning I was not brave enough to check my weight!!!
For lunch today a salmon poke bowls that was a powerhouse of nutrients! Packed with Omega-3 fatty acids for heart health, protein for muscle repair, and a rainbow of veggies for vitamins and minerals.

3 months today since I was dragged to the hell. There is no regrets…because it was no other choice…but I have to remind my self often that I can be again the woman I was. Thanks to who was on my side…and held me.

Another day, another breakfast!!
Slow awakening this morning.
The rain encouraged us to have some extra cuddles and was just the perfect start.
For this morning meal I took inspiration from the .sussex cafe menu…sourdough, pesto, grilled tomatoes and pouched egg.
Simple and delicious!
And now… waiting that the rain will stop for an healthy walk with hubby and Harry the Bernese.

It's been a very long two months.
My hysterectomy overwhelmed me, reducing me to a shadow of myself. Slowed down in doing even the little things, and taking away the joy even in those small gestures that were taken for granted, like preparing breakfast! which is my favorite meal.

Now!…I'm slowly returning to normality, after three operations and a lot of discomfort, which I tried to keep to myself, I look at everything I'm anxious and happy to do! my breakfast for example! toasted muffin with hummus, sun dried tomatoes and pouched egg.
Paris with beloved friends in a week and most important…new house in a month.
The kitchen in the new house is just amazing…so stay tuned!

Even if it seems like an autumn day outside, for breakfast I brought a little more summer to the table with this French toast with apricots, figs, cardamom and yoghurt. In this particular period ... where certainties have become uncertainties ... a bit of summer heat, gives me hope that the sun will shine again!
Apricot,figs and cardamom sourdough with poached apricot, Greek yogurt, honey and nuts.
Super healthy and balanced breakfast to start.

MHS Pride of Place 2023
Team fundraising for Nourish Community Food Bank
Event: Dragon Boat Festival, Bewl Water, Kent, on 2 September 2023

Marlborough House School parents and supporters will once again be participating in the annual dragon boat race held at Bewl Water. Our team of keen paddlers and drummer will be giving our all on Saturday 2nd September, to secure a place in the finals of this prestigious event. All proceeds from our stalls will go towards supporting Nourish, the school's nominated charity. Please come and show your support for us on the day, beginning at 9 AM. There will be plenty of food and festivities for young and old, not to mention the great spectacle of the dragon boats taking to water for the race of a lifetime…and our wonderful and yummy cakes!!
I’ll be at stall selling cakes and other sweets! Can’t wait to see you!!

invecchiamento. Combattenti, per l'esattezza.
Ha osato camminare sul tappeto rosso, il suo bel viso e corpo con tutte le rughe, gli occhi e l'eccesso di peso, con tutto ciò che la natura le ha dato, senza esitazione e completamente disinteressata all'opinione dei sostenitori della gioventù infinita. E questo è fantastico. Perché qualcuno deve finalmente dire al mondo che invecchiare non è affatto una vergogna.

What a find!!!
In the last few months…despite I love cheeses, I try to avoid them due some health issues.
I just bought from the vegan stracciatella made by . It tasted amazing, my lunch today was a avocado and straccia on toast with some sun dried tomato.
A light bite to make my work out not too tough!
If you fancy a vegans outstanding cheeses…give it a try!!! I was not gifted so this is a proper honest suggestion.

I’m not eating red meat often…but when I do, I like to have something special!
My motto is still “simple is better” and this tartare has only few ingredients. Fillet, extra virgin olive oil,garlic, salt, pepper, Parmesan and mushrooms carpaccio.
It was so tasty…i know raw meat is not for everyone…but who loves it…can understand the pleasure!!

Pasta cravings? 4 ingredients…easy and super tasty! I cooked this pasta dish dreaming my holidays! I will go to Sardinia and the Malloreddus are a typical Sardinian’s pasta shape.
So :
1 Malloreddus
2 Mascarpone
3 smoked salmon
4 dill.
I cooked the pasta as it was a risotto, so it’s more creamy and tasty. Add the mascarpone and the shredded salmon at the end, when the pasta is cooked.
Dill sprinkle and enjoy!!
Hubby said 10/10, considering that he is very fussy…it’s a good grade! 😂😂

one of things I learnt while cooking is that you start to eat first with your eyes…then with your nose and just at the end with your mouth. So I always love put attention on details and serve a simple food like roasted potatoes and Asparagus with a good presentation. It was delicious, but I really started enjoying my meal only looking at it! Anyway…love asparagus season and the English ones are so good!

This simple and yummy recipe is one of my favourite since I have memories.
In Italy is popular doing it with veal, but here the Veal is not the easiest meat to find…
So I cooked a Top rump for 18 hours with the sous vide… I then sliced it thinly and made the salsa tonnata (it is Mayo with capers, anchovies and Tuna).
Dish it up with herb green salad and garnished with black pepper.
Perfect as a starter or light lunch and definitely a good alternative to a Cesar salad for the meat lover ❤️

I admit that these days I'm thinking about giving up, organizing my events is stressful, and takes up a lot of time. Last Saturday I had the pleasure of organizing a private catering for customers who have followed me since I had the restaurant and who have been loyal over the years, participating at my various pop-ups. Unfortunately in this period I am not very comfortable with my self, so I have nothing planned soon.
I hope to find enthusiasm again, because after such a thank you ... I feel I did really well!
So thanks a million to my lovely customers…and we will see you again at some point.

Ok so not only breakfast! 😂
Gut friendly recipe that was enjoyable for the whole family.
Parsnip purée with sautéed kale and braised chicken thighs.
Some pomegranate seeds and I can say it was delicious!
Pan fry the chicken thighs till golden and crispy, then add a couple of diced shallot a glass of white wine and cook a medium heat for 45/60 minutes.

Cook the parsnip with a little water, chopped garlic and salt for about 30 minutes and then mash it till smooth and creamy

In a no sticky pan, sauté the kale with garlic, chilly and salt
