A note from Michael Irwin about Elsie
Good Morning John

I hope that you are keeping well. It is some time since last we corresponded but we need your help.

My Mother, Elsie Irwin, had a nasty fall on Wednesday morning causing, amongst other injuries, 2 fractures to her right ankle and creating a serious trauma for her. She is in hospital and the hospital have warned us of how serious her situation is.

She will be 103 years old on Friday next ( 29th).

Despite her age, she has remained highly alert and kept her independence living with Julie, my Wife, and me for the past 9 years. Right up to the accident she had been taking a daily Newspaper and was well informed of what was happening in the World.

Would you be kind enough to put my Mum on the Prayer List please and pray for her. I will of course keep you informed of her progress and she has asked us to write to Shirley Oakes ( which Julie will be doing), but an email to you is faster than a letter.

With great sadness we pass on the news that Gillian Gaisford, Bishop John's wife died this morning.

At the moment funeral arrangements have not been made.

We pray for the repose of Gillian's soul and we pray that the Risen Lord may console Bishop John and his family as they grieve.
