Love being part of the team at Fentons, helping them to shine online and beyond! Also love a good old brainstorm, which is what we were doing today.
If you are a landlord looking for a reliable and knowledgable agent to oversee your property, best get in touch with letting agent extraordinaire Maxine!
And if you’re looking for a brand photographer or social media manager, best get in touch with me! 😉

Great virtual meeting today with some of the team.
It was almost as if we were in the same room!
Exciting times ahead for Fentons as we expand into the Aberdeen area. Watch this space!

A legend of a man cycled through Crieff on Thursday evening.
You might not even have noticed as it was dark by the time Mr Rob Wainwright and his fellow tartan clad cyclists on Doddie’s Grand Tour hit the Strath.
I was lucky enough to get to meet the inspirational former Scotland rugby captain when he and his fantastic fellow fundraisers stopped off at Glenalmond to grab some pizza and donuts and a few hours of sleep.
They are on an epic 800 mile cycle from Dublin to Edinburgh via Aberdeen for this year’s edition of Rob’s annual endurance initiative in support of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
It was also great to catch up again with round the world record breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont and to meet the lovely Mia from the Foundation.
The team left Dublin on Wednesday and will arrive in the Capital on Saturday, ahead of Scotland’s Six Nations match against Ireland on Sunday.

Can everyone please spread the word about the development of a Community Action Plan for Comrie!
We need as many people to engage as possible. Come along to the drop-in at the White Church on Saturday 8th February to hear more about it.
Our neighbouring towns and villages already have Community Action Plans in place that are working well for them.
This is a great opportunity for us to create a document that is backed by the local authority and will act as a catalyst for our community to address its needs, issues and opportunities.
You can find out more and also complete the survey here: bit.ly/ComrieCAP
Paper copies will also be available in local shops.
Share and spread the word!

A wee thought on The Importance of Your Brand's Voice while I’m sitting on the train…
Your brand's voice is key to your identity. It basically represents your style and what matters to you, helping to attract your ideal customers and clients who share the same values.
Here are four words I would use to describe my brand and style: Vibrant, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly.
Do you agree?
What words would you use to describe yours?

Happy Birthday, Rabbie!
Rumour has it the Bard stayed in my house when he visited Bonnie Ochtertyre! I imagine I’ve walked in his footsteps many times in my ventures up the glen ☺️

On Scaring Some Water Fowl In Loch Turit

Why, ye tenants of the lake,
For me your wat'ry haunt forsake?
Tell me, fellow-creatures, why
At my presence thus you fly?
Why disturb your social joys,
Parent, filial, kindred ties?
Common friend to you and me,
Nature's gifts to all are free:
Peaceful keep your dimpling wave,
Busy feed, or wanton lave;
Or, beneath the sheltering rock,
Bide the surging billow's shock.

Conscious, blushing for our race,
Soon, too soon, your fears I trace,
Man, your proud, usurping foe,
Would be lord of all below:
Plumes himself in freedom's pride,
Tyrant stern to all beside.

The eagle, from the cliffy brow,
Marking you his prey below,
In his breast no pity dwells,
Strong necessity compels:
But Man, to whom alone is giv'n
A ray direct from pitying Heav'n,
Glories in his heart humane
And creatures for his pleasure slain!

In these savage, liquid plains,
Only known to wand'ring swains,
Where the mossy riv'let strays,
Far from human haunts and ways;
All on Nature you depend,
And life's poor season peaceful spend.

Or, if man's superior might
Dare invade your native right,
On the lofty ether borne,
Man with all his pow'rs you scorn;
Swiftly seek, on clanging wings,
Other lakes and other springs;
And the foe you cannot brave,
Scorn at least to be his slave

As the bells approach, I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported my business in 2024.
I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to collaborate with and to help some fantastic local businesses this year by expanding my services to include not only photography but social media management.
I’ve also helped business owners become more memorable at meetings and networking events by creating lead magnets and supercharged digital business cards for them, as well as putting together monthly online newsletters for clients.
When I embarked on becoming fully self-employed, I must admit, I was filled with apprehension and uncertainty. The transition from a stable job to carving my own path was daunting. I worried about whether the work would come in and if I would be able to sustain a viable business.
However, 2024 has surpassed my expectations in every possible way and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has entrusted me with their projects.
This year has truly been a testament to the possibilities that arise when you take a leap of faith, commit to your dreams and put yourself out there.
I am looking forward to the growth and adventures that 2025 will bring.
If I can be of any help on your business journey, do not hesitate to get in touch!
Wishing you all peace and love, and here’s to a healthy and happy New Year.
Best wishes,
Lynn

Lovely job today for ScotlandShop in Edinburgh. As well as Crieff and the capital, did you know they also have a branch in Albany in the US.
The throne chairs in each store are upholstered in the tartan of that town.
And I found out today how Albany got its name. Do you want me to tell you?

Good work from the Flambeaux crew today. The Flambeaux were tied in record time plus a wee glass raising to the much missed Wullie Sinclair.

I put this story on my own page and it had a great response so thought I’d share it here too! 😻 Our little feral friend Dusk turned up early this year. Every year we wonder if we’ll see her again as she must be about 16 years old now, which I imagine is pretty old for a feral, and each year you can see she is turning into a wee old lady. We’ve never been able to get really close to her, let alone touch her as she would hiss if you went anywhere near her. She would just come through the cat flap, enjoy a meal and then run back out. Over the past few years she’s been sleeping in the utility room at night and got into the habit of calling out through the night (of course my husband would then get up and put out more food because it sounds like she is saying his name)! This year she turned up early a few weeks ago, very dishevelled, and to my horror had clumps of bluebottle eggs on her fur. It took a few hours of going softly softly but I managed to get all the eggs off her, and now I think she’s decided it might be quite nice to be a house cat. She’s taken over the old armchair in the kitchen and is at my feet whenever I turn round! Still can’t really touch her but it’s like she wants to be close. Hope she’s decided it’s time to retire from the nomadic life. 🥰

Well it was a busy week again last week! One of the highlights was taking photographs for the ASB - Association of Scottish Business Women at their annual conference and awards. It was great to mix with so many inspirational entrepreneurial ladies who are doing their thing and uplifting other women in the process.
