Wishing the best of luck to Lola who has been invited to attend the IDTA Theatre Dance Awards to attend a new workshop which is open to candidates who achieved an impressive mark of 92 or higher, with a technical score of 54, in their Grade 2 or Grade 3 examinations.

Lola was nominated for her Grade 2 Tap alongside Dexter for his Grade 3 Ballet. Unfortunately Dexter is away ⛷️ so is unable to attend.

They have both been on a bit of a roll lately with coming 2nd place with an amazing duet for their school. 🥈

Lola has also just achieved incredible marks in her latest set of exams - 93 for Gold Acting, 96 for Grade 1 Acro and 98 for Grade 1 Contemporary. I'm pretty sure 98 is the highest mark we have ever received as a school in 35 years and so to be awarded this high accolade is incredible and we are all immensely proud! 👏👏👏

Alongside this they are both humble and a pleasure to teach, and we have had lovely feedback from parents as to how helpful and kind Lola was where she helped at our last session with some of the other to younger students.

I know both your parents are, and should be very proud of the lovely people they have raised and you have both grown up to be.

Have the best time this morning at the Tap workshop, which I'm sure you will! 😀

We finished off a fabulous year of classes with our Christmas party. Well done to our fancy dress winners - 1st place Paddington Bear and 2nd place Christmas Tree! 🐻🌲

It's been a busy weekend at MSD headquarters! Classes all day Saturday in preparation for our upcoming exam sessions followed by a Streetdance party! 👟🪩👯‍♀️🎂🎊🎈🎁

Then on Sunday Natalie lectured Tap for the IDTA Norfolk and Suffolk area for all the teachers in our association in the area. Keeping up to date and expanding our knowledge 💪

Meanwhile, Millie was spreading the vibe in Scotland performing with her MJ show!

Today Gillian taught her last Children's ballet class at the school to part-retire!

I think it's been 25 years Gillian has taught at the school and in that time has choreographed endless beautiful routines and trained students to such a fantastic standard for Graded Exams - a highlight was when her whole class of Classical Ballet Award students all achieved Distinctions! We were blown away!👏👏👏

Thank you Gillian for all your hard work, commitment and dedication every week. I have big shoes to fill to achieve the precision you have instilled in the students over the years.

This weekend we had over 100 dancers from the school participate in IDTA graded exams. The candidates all looked so slick and immaculate and we are incredibly proud as ever. The biggest thank you's to my teacher, Gillian. The ballet girls were stunning. To my helpers Ivy and Elena who were on hair and numbers all day, and to all the parents for all the running around, providing the correct gear, and for giving them all the opportunity. This little lady came to class in June with her big sister from the Ukraine. My heart broke on their first dance lesson thinking of what they had been through. They were so scared, shy and reserved. Continuing their dance lessons but in a new country, with a new language, a new teacher and classmates. Well, they have blossomed over the last 6 weeks as you can see! This was her on the float for Cromer Carnival! This is what being a dancer is all about. Losing yourself in a moment, escapism, passion and feeling! She did this for 3 hours non stop! What a girl! 😍❤️💃

Here's the first routine of many performed yesterday at the carnival field for the Children's Day! WHAT A TALENT!! - These girls won the Bursary award at the North Norfolk Dance Festival in April! 👏👏👏 I do not own the rights to this music, it's purely for dance purposes only.
