💻 We are so close to finishing our new and final room ‘the tunnel’ an old cable tunnel that we have converted. It’s been a bit of a slog (we are complete hoarders of things) and getting this space clear and near completion between kids and work has been rough, but it’s nearly there and much needed as we have had quite an increase in members over the summer in line with not being able to open the coffee shop due to work outside.

Our space is definitely not a typical office space, it’s a local workspace run by creatively minded people. It’s quirky, has character and every room is different and our members shape how we grow.

While our full-time workspace membership is the most affordable when compared to any competitor, we quickly realised that if you are a hybrid worker who would only use the space part time, maybe even once or twice a week - we needed an option that reflected this.

One of many things we were glad to hoard was this old piece by alecldn, we really like it here and opted for some mustard yellow for the floor instead of the tired MY blue for a change. How are we looking?

We launched Croydon’s first coworking space in July 2012 and we’ve been rooting for local entrepreneurs ever since. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Starting the week with the best newsss: getting a 5 food hygiene rating in our new home, and kicking off the week with a wicked women’s networking event in our space by and welcoming new workspace members 💖

Despite the scaffolding outside, the coffee shop and playroom are open Tuesday to Friday 10am until 3pm and on weekends/ evenings for private events. Just a little more tucked away (in?) than usual.

New bakes alert. Introducing our pistachio creme cookies and a little side of nostalgia in our Toffee Crisps at the MY coffee shop. We have plenty of vegan, nut-free and low-gluten bakes.

Our coffee shop is open 10am-3pm Tuesday to Friday for drink-in and takeaway. Our playroom for Under 6's reopens tomorrow from 12.

**Please note the COFFEE SHOP will be CLOSED next week Thursday 16th and Friday 17th May ONLY for some much-needed R&R but we'll be back recharged with our normal hours after! **

Tunes for Tots returns weekly next Wednesday with classes for parents with their babies and toddlers between 0-3 years old. All of their classes aim to nurture the bond between your child and their accompanying parent, carer, aunty or grandpa…whoever it is that enjoys making music with them!

Led by professional musicians, each class is developed week-by-week via our teaching subjects, specifically curated for each age group. Our teaching subjects include songs with lyrics, scarves, shakers and percussion to name a few. Each age group also enjoys story-time to enhance the musical experience through sound, imagery, structure and imagination. Overall, growing your child’s interest in music and how it makes them feel is the aim of every class.

Life drawing is back next week - half of the tickets are sold already so do book now to avoid missing out! All levels are welcome including beginners, so start a new (or rekindle an old) passion with a little guidance from a local artist if needed. Experienced artists are very welcome including painters.

Life drawing is on the second and last Thursday of the month at Matthews Yard. Feel free to arrive and set up from 6.45pm. Please note the cafe will do last orders at 7pm so grab what you need to tide you over for the evening.

Ending this Good Friday with this lovely little blog. We are delighted to be the new home for the 5 large-scale prints from the "Little Manhattan" exhibition that finished in February at the Museum of Croydon.

Such a pleasure to meet Art in transit who with the Croydon community last summer created these in workshops as part of the Digital Dramas Heritage Lottery-funded project - focusing on the boom in modern architecture post-war in Croydon until the 1970's. The buildings featured include Apollo and Lunar house, St Georges Tower, Corinthian House and Norfolk House.

Our new opening hours can make visiting tricky if you work the 9-5 and for the little people at school, so we'll be open with our family this Good Friday 10am-3pm.

Rain is scheduled but don't let that NOT bring you down! Our playroom features soft play, books and toys and it will be free entry. It's suitable for ages 6 and under (supervised). Leoni will also have some colouring pencils and drawing activities dotted around.

Most importantly? We will have your favourite drinks and cakes for the parents and non-parents.
