Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognise your emotions, behaviour and how to manage them in a positive manner and also manage the emotions of people around you.
It was first created by 2 researchers by name Peter Salavoy and John Mayer in their article "Emotional Intelligence" in a journal called Imagination, Cognition and Personality in 1990, however, it was made popular by a scientist by name Dan Goleman in his book Emotional Intelligence in 1995.
Emotional Intelligence is a skill set that anyone could learn and develop in their careers, relationships, businesses and in life to succeed and excel.

There are 5 components;
two of which are:
Self awareness and Self-acceptance

1, Self- awareness: is about recognising and understanding one's emotion and behaviour; how one is feeling and why?. Also, acknowledging how one makes other people feel.

2, Self- acceptance: Accepting one's self as you are; accepting your strengths, weakness and limitations. Forgiving yourself of your past mistakes, recognise and accept your emotions in an unconditional way.
