Anyone else sat with a dream out of reach for too long? I dreamt of this job nearly 10 years ago! I remember telling my nursing colleagues that one day I would be working with flowers and not truly believing it could happen.
But fast forward to now, and I've finally realised I'm where I wished to be!
It felt impossible, a true mountain to climb.
But I never gave up putting one foot in front of the other to get here.
It's been brutally exhausting at times, but my goodness, it's been worth it 🩷

What a miserable, wet Monday to start of mental health awareness week 💙
I started my day feeling exhausted. Nice weather last week meant all systems go in the field to plant out hundreds of plug plants.
I have been feeling very aware that I'm missing valuable social time as I try and keep up with this busy period.
The reality of this job is that it's often a lonely affair. I worked as part of a team for 16 years and always had opportunities for meaningful contact every day, which kept me sane.
Now, I have to ensure I find time to keep my spirit topped up with exercise and quality time with others.
Thankfully, I was scooped up by a friend, fed breakfast, and given a pep talk to keep me going! She turned up at exactly the time I needed her. 🫶
May this week be an opportunity to check in on your friends and loved ones. You never know how much you could change someone's day ❤️
