Here’s the schedule for the evening:
5pm - Gates open
* Welcome entertainment & DJ
* Food & drink vendors
* Kids activities including face painting

6:15pm - Last entries, gates close for fireworks

6:30pm - Bonfire lighting

7:00pm - Fireworks display

Gates will reopen to *exiting* traffic following the fireworks

7:30pm - Live music from The Chris Ostler Band & food/drink vendors

8:30/9pm - End of event and heading home

Love is in the air at Bridwell Park…ok, maybe not love exactly but mating season has begun for our deer herd.

“The Rut” starts in October and goes through mid-November. It is triggered by seasonal changes including less daylight, lower temperatures and rainfall. All of which causes an increase of testosterone in the Bucks and Stags, which means they are more aggressive as they compete for female attention. You may hear some of our big guys roaring and possibly witness some locking of antlers as they try and establish dominance.

So please exercise extra caution when walking the park - keep even more distance from the deer and as you know dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Thank you!

Welcome to Bridwell A venue of outstanding quality, elegance and charm located in the heart of Devon This elegant Georgian house set in 100 acres of breath-taking parkland boasts magnificent views across the Culm Valley in Devon, and is the much loved family home of Lord Ivar Mountbatten. Hidden from public gaze for over 240 years, the house opened its doors for guests to enjoy Bridwell on an exclusive use hire basis for the very first time in January 2015. A stunning setting for romantic weddings, corporate events, private parties, outdoor activities and gatherings with a difference - the house, old stables, orangery, chapel and parkland offer a collection of truly inspiring unspoiled spaces in which to create a spectacular event.
