Congratulation to Stacey and Paul who said "I Do" at the beautiful Norwood Hall Hotel in Aberdeen. We had lots of fun with their sand ceremony, blending their two families together. The result is a pretty cool addition to Paul's whisky collection as I hope you agree! Wishing the new Mr and Mrs Coull a lifetime of love and happiness 💕

It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtful people are while they are mourning the loss of a loved one and in the depths of grief. Thank you to every family who has trusted me to conduct the funeral service of their precious family and for your kind words afterwards. I have been privileged to conduct funeral services for such a wide range of people over these last few weeks from tiny babies to those who have lived long and interesting lives. You are all in my thoughts 💕

Well this was a wedding with a difference at the Quay in Dundee. Wendy and Tam took their vows, signed the schedule....and then we had a gatecrasher. The wonder Cheri Treiffel made an appearance, taking great umbrage that Tam had dared to marry another woman 😂. Huge congratulations again to Wendy and Tam and thank you for having me 💕

Thank you to the family of Agnes McGowan for trusting me with her funeral service today. Agnes lived for her family - and also chocolate and holidays to Blackpool. What a beautiful, crisp day at the cemetery where we laid her to rest. Sending love ❤️

Please find the funeral arrangements for the late Agnes McGowan who passed away on the 14th January.

A celebration of life for Agnes will be held in Thornlie Funeral Home at 1pm on Wednesday 25th January, followed thereafter by interment in the family plot at Cambusnethan cemetery.

Donna, Helen, Irvine and the family thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support received and extend a warm invitation to all to return with the family to the Cambusnethan Club to further celebrate the life of Agnes McGowan.

Jacqueline and Robert were in my diary for such a long time before they finally got married at the wonderful Castlecary Hotel. After being a couple for decades, they were supposed to get married in 2020 but were one of the many couples who had to postpone because of you-know-what. It was definitely worth the wait....and the cake topper says it all! Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Sievewright 💕

I loved conducting Simon and Adrian's rainbow themed wedding at the Piping Centre in Glasgow. When they asked me to reflect their theme, I was delighted to have a wee change from my usual tartan dress! Their rainbow-themed cake was pretty cool too! 💕

My very last wedding of 2022 was on Hogmanay. Liz and Gary got together on Hogmanay 20 years ago so it was the perfect date for them to finally say I Do! The Castlecary hotel was looking beautiful too!

Thank you so much to everyone who trusted me with their special moments in 2022, whether it was a joyful celebration conducting your wedding or a more painful ceremony where we celebrated the life of a loved one. I was very honoured to conduct both weddings and funerals for family and friends in 2022.

I'm going to take a moment over the next few days to post some wonderful photos of weddings from last year - as usual, they took me all over Scotland and included everything from weddings in the garden to Scottish castles, from couples who've known each other for a few months to couples who've been together for decades - and everything in between.

Thank you again, I never take it for granted and appreciate it every time someone gets in touch xx

Beautiful day for Wendy and Liam’s wedding at the SKYbar in Edinburgh yesterday. Stunning views from the thankfully air-conditioned penthouse room where we conducted the ceremony before everyone made their way out to the balcony. This lovely couple chose the venue for the view - they could see both Leith and Fife where each of them come from.
Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Bremner 💕

After 2 long years, from 4th April, we’re no longer legally required to wear face coverings at weddings or funerals 😊💕😊

CORONAVIRUS - MARRIAGE CEREMONIES & CIVIL PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATIONS – FACE COVERINGS
Good Evening Everyone!
Hopefully we’re on the home straight now with regards COVID updates - after 2 long years but the latest update today from is that the requirement in regulations for face coverings to be worn at marriage ceremonies & civil partnership registrations in indoor public places will be removed from 4 April.
Obviously cases are at an all time high right now, so although it is still recommended - it will not be mandatory during wedding ceremonies & civil partnership registrations!
This relates only to marriage ceremonies, civil partnership registrations, funerals, commemorative events related to the end of a person’s life & places of worship.
There are NO regulatory changes on 4 April in relation to wedding RECEPTIONS in hospitality venues although, of course, existing exceptions from wearing a face covering (eg when eating & drinking) will continue to apply.  
The First Minister also announced today that the remaining regulatory requirements in relation to face coverings will be removed on 18 April!
