I make no apologies this is a long post but it’s a necessary one. Wow! It’s hard to believe the last day of Cupar kids club has finally arrived. I’m sure you’d like to join me in thanking all the staff who have made Cupar kids club. Possible.
Kerri - assistant manager. Her knowledge and kindness knows no bounds. She always has a smile on her face and is there for all the children.
Leigh-Ann - one of the most hard working people I’ve ever met. She is always keen to learn and asks questions. She is also my locksmith. Anyone who knows me knows I’m useless at locking and unlocking doors and cupboards so Leigh-Ann Is my go-to person for this 😂
Aimee - Is completely on the level with the children and they love being able to chat to her about things us oldies don’t know about. She’s great at outdoor games especially hot potato.
Hayley - saved our bacon by joining us this term and her calm and quiet demeanour has allowed her to really connect with the children. You’ll often find Hayley taking the time to play board games and giving the children a chance to chat and offload about their day.
Summer- wowzers! what would we have done without Summer? She has been so flexible and helpful and really made the difference when we’ve been in a pickle. The children love her and she’s great at football and never moans about going outside. I wish her every success with whatever the future has in store for her.
Linda - Linda makes sure we’ve got snacks, fruit and goodies to keep us going and she’s also the go to person for organising the numbers of children in club as well as the finances. She wears a million hats and it’s always lovely to see her when she pops into club.
I’d also like to thank the board especially Lindsay. You are the voice of reason and the author of many an email and I know that ensuring the clubs running has been a full time unpaid job and we cannot thank you enough for your hard work. And for the rest of the staff and the board Susan treasurer and Lynne secretary, you have all given up your time to ensure bills and staff are paid, books balance, minutes are kept and accurate, snack and fruit is plentiful and amazing activities and events can happen. You ensure the governance of club and the board and we thankful for all the hours of work you do behind the scenes.
I’d also like to thank all the staff past and present. From Varrie to Karen R, Lisa, Paula and Louise, Paige and Natasha and so many more that I cannot name. You’ve all been a part of Cupar kids club and you’ve cared for so many children past and present and as a community we thank you all.
I hope the last day goes well and I’m sorry I can’t be there with you but I hope you’ll join me in sending staff and children a virtual hug and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here’s to new adventures in 2023

Just a heads up that if no pay agreement is reached primary schools will be shut on Tuesday 10th January and Wednesday 18th January. Castlehill ASC will be closed on these dates if strike action goes ahead.

A huge thank you to Keith Harrison and for their amazing bouncy castle at our Cupar Kids club social event. The children had a fantastic time and considering the weather we had a great turn out. Thank you for a fabulous evening and we hope you got a chance to chat with people and make new friends.

After chatting to one of the children who said she loved LOL dolls one of the team brought some in to play with in the dolls house. Theyve spent most of the afternoon there. They have asked if they can make beds and houses for the LOL dolls tomorrow! I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

The team are planning to expand the service we offer to Castlehill Primary School in response to the closure of Cupar Kids Club. Fife Childcare Services are holding information drop-in sessions on Friday 18th & Monday 29th November 16:30-19:30 at Castlehill PS regarding the opening of Castlehill Out of School Club. If you are looking for Out of School Care please pop along for more information.

This is the provision that will be taking over from Cupar kids club. If you have any questions please try and attend one of these session so you can ask any questions.

We made the Queen! The children wanted to do something to commemorate the Queen. We chose a photo of her and laminated it and cut it into squares. Each child painted a square and we put the collage today. Wry Picasso esque ! Really proud of them all and we all love our new display.

We are all ready for Halloween. Ghosts and ghouls witches and warlocks beware. We are ready for you. Doughnut eating,face painting, apple dooking, dressing up, a disco, a special arts and craft activity and a sensory witches story all ready and waiting. Enter if you dare!

As tomorrow is Halloween if it helps parents please feel free to put your child’s Halloween costume in their bag and we will try to get them changed. Remind your child to tell us they have their costume with us! We have some face paint as well so any child wishing to have their face painted will be very welcome. ( please let us know if you do not want your child to have face paint )

A slight disaster with tonight’s snack. We were all set with our hot dogs and buns only to discover we didn’t have a tin opener ! 🙈 R Dot Thomson to the rescue and slightly later than usual everyone was tucking into hot dogs. I think it’s been the most well received snack we’ve had. Melon bananas grapes and blueberries also on offer. 🍌🍇🍉🫐🌭

Thank you to everyone who donated photo frames. We can now reveal our Royal art work. We have cut out golden crowns and added stamps and coins to remember the late Queen Elizabeth II. A lovely keepsake for the children to remember the queen. More Royal art work to come next week.

If your child attends Cupar Kids Club. We need your help!

For a long time the children have been asking for a computer. After an amazing video made by the children explaining what they’d like and how it would work the board have provisionally agreed to allowing the club to purchase a switch! …. However there’s a catch! We need your children to do some research and tell us how much it will cost!

We will need a switch with breakdown cover. 2 x controllers blue tooth and 2 x controllers wired and a selection of games. Your child can draw a picture, put it in a PowerPoint or a sway. Cut pictures out of a catalogue or write a list. It can be presented any way they choose. We just need to know how much and from which shop? You can bring your research to club or you can email it to [email protected]. Put your child’s name and Switch in the subject header. Only when we get this will the board agree and purchase the switch. So come on children let’s get busy. If you want it you have to work for it. How lovely would it be to have a switch for after half term? 🥰🥰🥰
