✨ Two free events coming up this Saturday at Florence Arts Centre ✨

For kids and families:

STORYTELLERS 2-4pm

Learn how to build a fantasy world, create characters and tell a story from beginning to end!

MEET THE MAKERS 11am-4pm

Come along to the exhibition on the 20th August to meet all the creative people who have contributed to bringing the story to life!

Jess Meagher and Alex Mullarky, founders of Heather & Yew, will be on hand to talk about how they put the exhibition together. Alex will also be answering questions about her book, The Sky Beneath the Stone, and signing copies. Photographer Rob Duncalf will talk about his intrepid adventures for his commissions and offer advice on improving your smartphone pictures. Sculptor L. R. Ambrose will be doing a live digital sculpt in the auditorium of two more of the book's characters, and you'll be able to meet illustrator Mollie Ray who created the gorgeous Underfell Shepherd's Journal.

Alex and Jess were blown away by the imagination, effort, and excellence that went in to each and every entry to our Cumbrian Magic arts competition for budding Cumbrian artists. We both cried.

*Important update for Falcons and Fairy Kings this Saturday*

Please note this event will now be taking place at Florence Arts Centre from 11am until 1pm. There is no need to book tickets and the event is free, but donations to Florence/Heather & Yew are welcome.
