Libella is a leafy lace with 3d embroidered leaves that sit proud of the base tulle providing a tactile experience and an arresting aesthetic.

The base tulle also features outline embroidered leaves with beading at the centre. The design moves into the middle from each selvedge and so has more open areas in the centre of the lace.

Athira is an extremely striking lace with matching scalloped edges that measures 130 cm (51") from edge to edge.

The background is a Raschel lace with a very open texture giving this lace an ephemeral quality. We have then used a wide variety of different techniques to embellish the pattern including beads, pearls and heavy embroidery.

Fun and fabulous! Hadley is an exceptionally flirtatious, fun and floaty lace from Italy. Based on a dotted ivory tulle, the lace has small embroidered ivory discs (1cm /.4"diameter) which extend from the fabric by 5.5 cm (2.2") creating a spangle effect as they adorn the lace. This eye-catching, non-floral lace is 132 cm (52") wide.

Taylor is a bustling and vibrant lace that is a-symmetrical in design, featuring a plethora of floral effects on a large scale. Using an ivory tulle base, the design also features decorative lattice work and delicate garland of buds linking the two edges. Both edges are scalloped and frame the bold design within. An elegant floral themed bridal lace called Silke in ivory with large embroidered flowers and foliage, which are subsequently corded. The small areas in between the flowers have quite an open weave in contrast to the flowers themselves.

The flowers have been beaded and there are also a few translucent sequins over the petals that create a subtle shimmer as the wearer moves.

The borders are symmetrical and have a fringe which has been over embroidered, so that it is held within the lace itself (this is easy to cut away to leave the scalloped edge). This lace measures 132 cm wide (52"). The largest flowers measure approx. 10 cm (4") across.

Layers is a stunning crinkled or pleated tulle consisting of five layers of crinkled tulle sewn in a graduated fashion over an ivory tulle base. There is an area of plain tulle before the first layer of crinkled tulle which measures 20 cm (8”), the second layer measures 22 cm (9”), the third 25 cm (10”) , the fourth, 27 cm (11”) and the widest final layer measure 41 cm (15”).

A divine ivory and champagne Guipure lace called Rafaella with large flowers on an open background.
Manufactured in Italy, it has a pale champagne shading in the centre of the main flowers. This is a narrow lace, that measures 45 cm (18") at its widest point, which is perfect for bodices but can be easily used elsewhere on the dress. The largest flowers measures 6.5 cm (2.75") across. We also stock this lace in Gold.

Bridal Fabrics is part of DHJ Weisters Ltd, a weaving mill established in 1932 in Darwen, Lancashire. Amongst other fabrics we weave dress fabrics such as brocades for weddings. Around 20 years ago we started adding a few lace designs to the range and Bridal Fabrics was born. We started out as Platinum Bridal Fabrics but shortened to Bridal Fabrics to match our website. We are now one of the leading suppliers of lace, fabrics, appliques and trims for the wedding industry. We’re well known for our fabulous range, excellent customer service and speedy delivery having products in stock and no minimum order quantity or value.

We have a stunning range of lace, in both ivory, white and a range of colours. We also stock a range of poly, silk and eco fabrics. Add to this a fabulous applique selection and a range of both lace and crystal trims and there’s an unrivalled high quality selection for dressmakers and brides.
