🚨 please help! URGENT APPEAL: elderly relative seriously harmed in vehicle collision.

• Seeking witnesses of an accident Saturday 16th March 2024 at 12:45
Light blue estate car head on collision with a small silver car.

• Or anyone who saw a light blue estate car in the area Saturday morning.

• Anyone in the Eton Wick area who may have home cctv, ring doorbells,

• Anyone dash cams that may have caught images of the incident, or people involved in the incident

• any local businesses that have cameras, may have caught them getting in and out or the car..

If you were in the Dorney, Maidenhead, Taplow, Eton Wick, A4, slough/wider area on that date and noticed this car driving dangerously, or may have dashcam footage of the vehicle, particularly anything that may ID the drivers.

It’s a miracle our family member survived being hit head on at great speed, he is in hospital with what the doctors call ‘life changing injuries’. Defying the odds by doing so well, but long recovery ahead.

🚨 The reckless drivers are criminals who ran from the scene, with no concern for the victims life.

Please contact the police asap is you have ANYTHING you can share, no matter how small.

Please check any cameras that could help. (Or share info of any other/ commercial cameras that police could check)

Please please share this with anyone who may be able to help, someone out there can help bring justice! These people need to be off our streets.

Sympathy gift bouquet…
Soft whites and greens to convey a message of sympathy and peace in a time of great loss.

Full of texture, the frilly ornamental brassica (part of the cabbage family!) with a hint of pink in the centre, blend perfectly with the lilac roses, aptly named ‘memory lane’.

As always, lots of thought goes into the planning of these bespoke florals 🤍

Brilliant tip for all the gardeners… who else leaves watering cans around?

(In my case in varying states of fullness!)

An old flower pot in the top of your watering can will prevent accidental drownings or trappings!

Sadly creatures such as mice, hedgehogs, frogs and snails can all get drawn into finding the water source, but then find they have no way back out.

Leave a low shallow water dish with some pebbles or access out for creatures nearby instead.

The Coronation Wreath 🇬🇧

A bespoke, luxury door wreath to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.

The asymmetric design symbolising modernity, red, white and blue permemant botanicals representing the United Kingdom, and plush red velvet ribbon wrap for a very regal look.

As a Royal neighbour here in Windsor, it’s all very exciting, with everything that is going on in the world.. any excuse to come together as a community and celebrate is most welcome in my book!

A great snapshot of what’s happening in the floral industry right now…

The humble white chrysanthemum, the staple flower for a vast percentage of our floral tributes, used by florists far and wide for lettering, hearts, pillows, cushions, wreaths and countless bespoke designs.
This seemingly insignificant little bloom is currently the cause of much stress, anguish and worry throughout the florist community.
Why you ask? In the last few weeks, the cost price of this flower has increased by over 50%, it has more than tripled in the last year and it is increasing every day. Chrysanthemum, traditionally known as a ‘cheap’ flower is currently far out pricing premium flowers such as roses, lily and lisianthus (which has also doubled in price recently!).
We’re hearing reports that it is costing growers an average of £25,000 a day to heat and light their hothouses. Due to the rising energy costs some growers have gone out of business, some growers have turned off their hot houses halting production and those remaining few have had to pass their rising overheads on to us, their customers. The demand currently far outweighs supply which is affecting all colours and varieties of chrysanthemum and a lot of other flowers.
We have tried to keep our prices steady for as long as possible but in the face of it, we have no option but to raise them significantly otherwise we simply won’t have a viable business ourselves. We are looking at cost effective alternatives and will always guide you through the options as best we can. At the moment white hydrangea is looking like the best option although they all have a slightly fluffier finish. If you have any questions regarding this, any concerns or worries then please do get in touch, we’re always on hand to help where possible.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS!

Been a bit quiet on here while I host my annual wreath-making workshops, so lucky to have the loveliest clients! More photos to come!

Love making wreaths with their own personality, here’s a couple of versions of a more traditional style..

Stuff full of lush foliage which is all grown right here in Berkshire (except my beautiful eucalyptus which I get from a specialist grower in Ireland. But it’s from my mums home town so it still feels locally grown to me!!)

Do you prefer the red ribbon or the tartan?!
I’ve hunted for a gorgeous tartan for ages and I LOVE this one, but also love the red velvet…
