Belated Mothers Day / Birthday flowers for my mum yesterday.

Flowers are gradually coming along - like everyone else I wish it would dry out a bit and stop raining!

Today's picture isn't what I'd normally post, but there is a story behind it....Four years ago today, I went to my first ever floristry class and made this, my first hand tied bouquet.

Reflecting back over those four years, I'm amazed how much has changed...I'd left my job of 28 years the day before....COVID was just starting to be a concern. I knew nothing about seasonality of flowers or the implications of floral foam, I just wanted to do something different with my life, something more creative.

I'd never heard of Flowers from the Farm or thought about growing flowers to sell (I had grown a few flowers for cutting on my allotment and was planning more). That morning I met a wonderful group of people and realised I'd found my future.

It feels a very long time ago...now I'm a fully fledged flower farmer entering my third season, a fully qualified florist and passionate about sustainable and seasonal flowers.

Some sunny flowers for a rather chilly day. It's not raining - which makes a nice change - the flower plot may even dry out enough to finish weeding and pruning 👩‍🌾

Mother's day is fast approaching, but as its so early this year, I won't have any fresh flowers to offer.

But how about a gift that lasts for months instead? We can offer a couple of options - we have dried wreaths available on my website (see link in bio) or how about a flower subscription - available during the flower season for any duration and any frequency - just drop me an email or DM to order.

Thank you to everyone who came along to one of our wreath workshops. All your wreaths were beautiful 😍 and all so different!

Thank you also to and home for hosting and to for your help!

All wreaths made are fully compostable apart from the ribbons and all the elements used are British - including ribbon!

All done now - I'm off to starting thing about Christmas 🎄
