Betteshanger Park sits on the former spoil heap and is an outstanding space for people to access and explore the outdoors. The 250-acre site is a centre for outdoor sporting and adventure activities. The Park provides access to a variety of environments including woodland, grassland and marshland. It is the most important cycling centre in East Kent, with a 3-kilometre road cycling track providing

safe, traffic free road cycling facilities. The track is ideal for families with its safe environment for children to ride and also for serious cyclists where training conditions are ideal. There is a further 10 kilometres of mountain bike trails, all of varying difficulty, designed to challenge and excite all levels of cyclist. Other activities at the Park include an outdoor playpark, military fitness, forest school, archery, den building, fossil hunting and geo-caching, plus a range of exciting seasonal events. Betteshanger Park can be easily reached by the A258 and has ample on-site parking. This page is the home of Betteshanger Sustainable Parks on Facebook. Bike Hire Closure: Bike hire will be closed from Monday, 23rd December to Tuesday, 21st January. Services will resume on Wednesday, 22nd January as usual.

Cycling Track Closure: The cycling track will be closed on Sunday, 22nd December between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM due to a Christmas race event.

Please note that Betteshanger Country Park no longer operates parking payments through Park With Ease.

To ensure your parking payment goes directly to supporting the park and its upkeep, we kindly ask you to avoid using their app or online payment methods.
Instead, parking payments can be conveniently made at our on-site kiosks.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Your support helps us continue to maintain the park for everyone to enjoy. 💚

🌧️ Weather Update for This Weekend 🌧️

We’re very disappointed to share that the weather this weekend has forced us to make some changes to our plans. Unfortunately, all Christmas trail and Santa Grotto bookings on Saturday 7th December will need to be rescheduled. Everyone affected has already been contacted via email with further details.

However, there’s some good news! 🎄 Our Christmas Crafts in The Glass Room will still be going ahead as planned. It’s the perfect opportunity to stay cosy, get creative, and enjoy the festive spirit despite the storm!

Please note The Lamp Room is open as usual.
