So what does a Funeral Celebrant actually do? Here is a quick summary which may be helpful - but remember there is no such thing as a silly question....* I normally work with Funeral Directors who will recommend me to a family who are planning a burial or cremation.*I also work directly with families who have lost a loved one and would like to have a a memorial gathering or a scattering of ashes.
* I sit down and have a chat with you in your home to gather information and capture the character and essence of your loved one.
*this is YOUR ceremony - not mine and you can include whatever you wish with family and friends being involved in readings, music or tributes.
* I write the ceremony and share a draft script with you to make sure it is exactly what you want.
*I look after you on the day and deliver the ceremony.
*I give you a presentation copy of the ceremony to keep.

I believe this is the best job in the world!
