IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PIGSTY : PLEASE SHARE
We are really sorry to let you all know that PIGFEST 2024 WILL NOT BE GOING AHEAD.
Due to circumstances that are beyond our Control at Piggy Central, we will not be able to invite you wonderful people to our festival this year and we are absolutely gutted - we had a fantastic line up of amazing acts booked and ready to play for you - but don't worry - we will be back next year and thankfully so will the acts that we booked for this year! We are hoping to be able to put a night of music on or around the planned date at the Plas Pigot as a little taster of what will be instore for 2025 - but this has not been confirmed as yet, so we will of course keep you posted.
We're gonna miss seeing you all party on the field, but we hope to see you all supporting other local events that are able to go ahead this year, like the Carnival, Hopefest, The Beer Festival and The Flower Show!!!
We will keep you posted on next years date as soon as we can! Like Arnie Said.... WE'LL BE BACK!!!!

We would just like to say a massive thank you to each and everyone one of you for turning up yesterday! We couldn't have asked for a better turn out!!!! To all the vendors, the acts, the helpers, the bar staff, the sponsors and most of all our guests - DENBIGH TOWN and honourary Denbigh-ites... THANK YOU!!! NO MORE SLEEPS DENBIGH!!!! Today's the Day!!! PIGFEST is back and we're soooooo excited!!!! Here's the running order for you..
12.00 - 13.00
ACCOUSTIC HOUR

There will be wristbands available at the gate if you haven't already got yours. Entrance fee is £6, and there is no charge for 11's and under.
Dogs are welcome as long as they're on leads at all times and you bring pooh bags!!!
There will be a few stalls on site, and food vendors, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic if you
want ( we do not set the prices of food ) .
NO ALCOHOL to be brought into the site - bags will be searched on the gate and anyone found drinking alchohol not bought on site will be escorted from the premises .
No refunds for “lost” or “torn” wristbands - anyone without a wristband will be escorted to the main gate and politely reminded to pay .
We recommend that you bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
It looks like the weather is on our side 😀
Let's make it a day to remember, we want you all to have the best time, and we cant wait to see ya!!!

THIS SATURDAY 12-6pm
Wrist bands are selling well 😃😃- there are still a limited number available - any left will be available to buy on the gate on Saturday- £6 to those 12 years and over .
Please note the following
1) ❗️ NO ALCOHOL TO BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PREMISES - bags will be searched on entry and any persons found to be drinking alcohol not purchased on site will be escorted off the premises . ❗️
2) Bring your own chairs ! 🪑🪑or picnic blankets
3) 2 local food vendors have been sourced - their prices will be displayed and their prices are set by them not us - feel free to bring a picnic !🍰🌭🍔🥖
4) No children aged 16 and under will be allowed on the premises without an adult , and all children must be supervised at all times
5) There will be a number of stalls selling a range of things , sweets , cakes , slime , festival glitter etc
6)All volunteers will be in high vis jackets so easy to spot if you need anything

DENBIGH... are ya ready????? Your HEADLINER for PIGFEST 2023 is ETHER!!!! yes!!!! Thats right... E T H E R !!!! How excited are ya now???!!!! These Denbigh Lads are absolutely amazing and we know you already love them... but for those of you who haven't had the privilege of hearing them before... here's a little bit of gen...

They got together back in 2008 after jamming in the plug and play at the Hope and Anchor, and went into the studio to record our first EP in 2009 and recorded 3 tracks. They've supported John Lydon's Public Image Limited in Leeds O2 Academy and performed at the Radio Wigwam awards in London in 2023.
A rock trio, with Martyn Peters on Guitar and vocals, Carwyn Lloyd on Bass and Dafydd on Drums, they write songs that are full of energy, hard hitting, with emotional and thought provoking lyrics.
After a hiatus of a number of years. Ether are back and will finally release their extensive back catalogue soon and will be heading back to the studio with some new music too!!

WOW!!! We're in for a treat with this lot!! 🐷

Here we go... your penultimate act of the day.... we're not sure how these reprobates managed to get on the list, but they somehow slipped through the net!!! (They must have agreed a knocked down price or something!!)... KEENAN JONES BAND are warming u up for the headline act!!! We're hoping they don't embarrass themselves!!! And rumour has it, they'll be inviting a few guests to play with them, but don't tell anyone! It's a secret!!! 🐷

Before we introduce our final two acts, we thought we should let u know who's making them all sound good for ya! We've got the amazing (and very handsome) Carl on the sound desk... he's done us proud the last few years and we've missed him during our break!!! So Denbigh... Read all about him..
CLJ Audio was established in 2001 after the owner Carl Hodgson had obtained a degree 3 years earlier in Sound Technology at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Based near Mold he has gone on to provide PA systems for all manner of events, festivals, carnivals, bands, conferences etc. Recent acts he has worked with are Scouting for Girls, Pete Doherty, Martin Joseph and has for 20 years been front of house engineer for the Welsh language mid Wales based Theatr Maldwyn, touring Wales premier theatres! We think it's safe to say we're in safe hands with this one don't you!!! 🐷

Not long now Denbigh!!!! Hope you've all got your wristbands... 🐷 so... its time to tell u about our next act!!! You all know about our ACCOUSTIC HOUR, and our YOUNG BAND SLOT but what we haven't told you until now is that we have managed to get THE SENSATIONAL ROUGH DIAMONDS to play for u!!! It wasn't easy, as these fellas are monopolising the local music scene right now!!! Coming from Rhyl, they've been playing together for just over a year, but individually they've been gigging forever!!!! DEEMO, BRIAN, RICHARD and KYLE are prolific musicians and they deliver an unrivalled set of Rock, Classic and Modern covers! And guess what... Will from Teen Spirit is joining them on drums!! (this years PIGFEST really should be called WILLFEST!!!!) These lads will get u all up dancing and singing along with an epic set! DENBIGH.. YOU ARE GONNA LOVE THEM!!!!!

As promised... here's a little bit of info on the fantastic TEEN SPIRIT who will be playing the YOUNG BAND SLOT!!! The band is based in Prestatyn and are making a real name for themselves along the coast...
Ruby the lead vocalist is 16 and she joined the band about 6 months ago... yess!!! 16!!!! And she's the oldest member!!! The lads are all 14 years old...
The bass player Joe is also a talented multi instrumentalist/ pianist.
Aled on lead guitar has aspirations to be a pilot!! - we think he should stick with the music!!! And once you hear him we reckon you'll agree!!! Last but most definitely not least is William the drummer. He is also a fantastic guitarist, and is a time served muso already having been gigging in his Grandads band for a few years. When he grows up he really wants to be lead guitarist in a Metallica tribute act 🐷 trust us... these kids will absolutely blow u away!!!

BRACE YOURSELVES!!!! We are now announcing another new thing!!! We're introducing a YOUNG BAND SLOT as of this year... Genius we know!!! This slot will purposely focus on promoting up and coming young bands that are either new to the area or the scene. We think it's so important to encourage the younger musicians to get out there and show us what they can do! So here at PIGFEST we've decided to offer one young band a slot every year... now, this slot is not just given away, it has to be earned!!! The successful bands will have to show us they can handle the pressure of a big festival gig, they need to show us they've got the talent and personality to keep our amazing crowd happy, playing on THE PIGFEST stage is a big deal and not for the fainthearted... so we know we've chosen well this year!!! The act we're putting on the YOUNG BAND SLOT this year are amazing, talented and eager!! You are gonna love them!!!!!

OK... here we go! As promised here's our first announcement to let u know what you're in for at PIGFEST 2023 🐷 the stage opens at 12.15 with an hour of Denbighs Finest Accoustic Acts!!! We are really excited about this, as its a new thing for us! Accoustic Acts don't normally get a look in on the Main Stage at Festivals, but there is an amazing accoustic scene in Denbigh and surrounding areas, so we thought it would be nice to highlight this each year from now on and bring you some of the best Acts hitting our local open mic nights... so... here's a list of your entertainers for the first hour!!!!

Hey Denbigh... guess what...
The PIGFEST 🐷 wristbands are available now!!!!! We've gone all trendy and decided tickets are old hat... so this year you're getting WRISTBANDS!!!
Please get in touch if you'd like to secure your entry before the day...as we've said, this year's festival is a mini one, so numbers are limited and we can't guarantee wristbands will be available to buy on the gate.
We are letting children (Aged 11 and under - they must be accompnied by an adult) in for FREE!!! (Fab right?)
Adults and children aged 12 and over will be charged £6 (that works our at less than £1 per act!!!!!)
Now the boring bit...
There will be NO refund for lost wrist bands.
Torn wristbands for those wishing to re-enter the premises will not be accepted .
And No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises - but don't worry, the Plas Pigot will make sure there's plenty on site to buy 🥂🍺🍻!!!
Feel free to bring a chair and a picnic!!!
We're sooooo excited to be back and can't wait to see you all on AUGUST 12th at Plas Pigot!!!! 🐷

Hi everyone !!
We are in the process of organising a mini PIGFEST
this year . We are calling it a mini event as its on from 12-6pm on August 12th ( music starts at 1pm) at the Plas Pigot - this is because we do not have the funds to put on the day long event . We do not want to put ourselves in a situation where we are financially vulnerable and can not pay for what would be needed.
Please remember we are a team of 6 who volunteer our time over a period of 6 months to put this event on and we only ever aim to cover costs to go into next years PIGFEST .
Tickets available in July and can pay on the gate on the day ( if capacity allows )
We are hoping to have the support of the community and welcoming our Denbigh music festival back ❤️.
