🙏 Volunteers wanted please 🙏

We would be so grateful if anyone would volunteer to help put our Christmas lights up on the building.

Mandy from Jelly Beans-Under 5's has been absolutely incredible and has bought us 200m of lights to go on the building. We are ever so grateful to Mandy for her wonderful donation to us and want to get the lights up asap ❤️

Our annual Christmas Market is back again on Saturday 7th December with a range of small businesses selling their unique products.

Come and join us from 11am to find those gifts that'll bring festive cheer to those who receive them.

The bar will be open from 11am where we will be serving delicious mulled wine alongside your favourite tipple 🍷

❗️Important Announcement❗️

❗️Please note that we are still open for events, party booking, users groups etc, it is literally just the bar lounge that is shut in January. We need to increase foot fall into the bar after this and encourage more people to use us for Hall hire and events❗️

It's with a heavy heart that the committee have agreed that we will shut the bar down from 22nd December 2024 until 14th February 2025 unless we have parties or events on.

We completely understand that the cost of living crisis has made people tighten their purse strings, we've had to do this too, but, the reality is that unless people start using the bar lounge more we will have to shut the doors to the Pie Hall.

The user groups and parties alone don't make enough for us to keep the place up and running, we need people to use the bar lounge too.

We've had lots of maintenance to pay out for over the year to ensure the place is in a fit condition to stay open, this has eaten into our funds as we haven't been lucky enough to get any funding.

We know shutting the bar for January is going to upset people but on quiet evenings in the bar we still have stock, bar staff and overheads to pay for and we are just not making the money to cover these costs.

To sum up, if you don't use us, the community is going to lose us for good 😭

❗️Please note that the bar will be available for all events still. We are just shutting the bar lounge in january. If it then picks up we will be able to keep it open as normal❗️

•Over 18 years of age
•Experience of bar work is preferred but not essential as full training will be given
•Experience of using till & card machines is preferred but training will be given
•Must be able to follow instructions
•Must be hardworking
•Must be flexible to meet hours of weekend/evening bar shifts or cover shifts at short notice
•Must be punctual
•A positive attitude & excellent communication skills is a must as you are working with the public

It's nearly time for our annual Family Christmas Party at Denby Dale Pie Hall on Saturday 21st December 6pm-9pm. FREE ENTRY, but a small donation is greatly appreciated towards the running of the Pie Hall. Denby Dale District Lions will be coming along with a very special guest. The one and only, Santa Claus 🎅 visits to santa are at a cost and each child will receive a gift. Ava Haigh will be with us again to raise money for her Bali trip with school. She will be selling sweets, cakes and lots of other goodies. We will also be joined by A little bit of glitter again who will be doing glitter makeup, glitter tattoos and colour hair pieces. We will also be selling flashing Christmas necklaces, flashing spinning bracelets and flashing flower crowns. We will be joined by DJ Barry who will play some fabulous music to get you all feeling festive as well as some party games.
