Our Family Valentines Party is nearly here.

Join us for a Valentines disco for the whole family at Denby Dale Pie Hall on Friday 14th February, 6pm-9pm.

The bar will be open, we'll have sweets and cakes by Ava Haigh, A little bit of glitter will be back doing her fabulous glitter tattoos and festival makeup and of course we will have lots of flashing things and glow sticks available to purchase.

Our fully stocked bar will be open from 5pm if anyone fancies coming down for a drink before the disco begins 😉

Free Entry for all. Donations are greatly appreciated and will be put towards the fund for our new hesting system that the hall desperately needs ❤️

❗️ANNOUNCEMENT❗️

Unfortunately, due to a majority vote from the committee, they have decided that the bar lounge will only be open on a Saturday night if there is an event in the hall.

This is due to the footfall in the bar lounge being very low on a Saturday.

⭐️We will still be open Fridays from 5pm⭐️

Please understand that the bar WILL be open for ALL events, just the bar lounge will be closed on a Saturday unless there is an event on.

We will update to let everyone know when there is an event on on a Saturday evening and the times the bar lounge will be open.

This will be reviewed again in six months time and hopefully we may be in a position to open again as normal.

We understand that people may find our opening times inconsistent at present but we do have staff and overheads still to pay even if we have an empty bar.

We hope you do all understand. Please continue to support the bar by using us each Friday from 5pm as of 14th February.

We are in desperate need of a new heating system in the hall as the one we currently have has finally given up on us after around 50 years. It's done us proud to work for so long.

We have had three quotes and these have come back £20k and above.

Due to the hall being in use on a daily basis, we need to be able to keep our customers warm. We have people of all ages using the hall and some of those are quite vulnerable so need to be kept warm.

As you know we are a charity run community hall and rely on grants and donations to keep the hall running. The bar doesn't make enough money to cover the maintenance of the hall.

Unfortunately we haven't been lucky to secure any grants for the last three years and have managed to do some maintenance ourselves from hall hire, donations, book table etc, but, the heating is well out of our reach with the cost.

Any contributions would be appreciated to help us towards replacing the heating system in the hall and allow us to carry on hiring it out to our customers for sports, events, weddings, meeting etc knowing that they will be warm and comfortable.

A huge thank you to those that helps with contributions, we appreciate you all so much and hope you continue to come see us for a drink or an event. Thank you

New year, new line markings 🖌 A few of us were busy yesterday in the hall repainting the lines for our indoor court. It's been around 30 years since the lines were last marked out 😳😲 We are by no means professionals but we think we did a pretty good job 💪 A special thank you to Russell, Geoff, Keith and Sheila who helped us line the court out. These four use the hall on a weekly basis to play short tennis and approached us to see if they could help with this job. We are extremely grateful to you four for all of your help 🙏 Also, well done to Chairman David for helping line the court and mastering the line marking machine (it's not as easy as it looks), Trustee Dan for helping line and helping guide the marking machine and to Manager Rachel for helping line and tidy up. Team work makes the dream work 🙌
