Obituario martini.

For some strange reason tonight I had the urge to mix up this tequila/mezcal riffed martini, possibly because today is the Day of the Dead following Halloween, and the drinks title seemed ... appropriate.

To make, stir in ice the following:

45 ml Blanco tequila
15 ml classic mezcal
30 ml blanco vermouth
2.5 ml absinthe
Pinch of salt

Decant into a chilled glass and served with an olive, and if you have it, as I don't tonight, a zest twist of lime.

To my palate even this tiny addition of absinthe dominates, so when I make it again I would beef up the mezcal and vermouth by another 15 ml each. Then I think it would be nicely balanced.
