What is Forage and Feast? ❓
A Three Hour guided Foraging walk with a professional forager, followed by a communal sit down sustainable tasting menu using previously foraged ingredients and seasonal produce.

Super pleased with a fantastic first Urban Forage & Feast event. Lovely group of people. 🥰

The Day started with a wholesome three hour foraging walk with our expert around darley park with our guests being shown edible ( and non edible ) plants, flora and fungi with some creative snacks and beverages on route. 🌱 🍄 🍄‍🟫

Then our group went back to the fabulously quirky and oh so accomodating The Coach House Derby for a seasonal menu made by my myself using previously foraged items.

Wild venison, Pancetta, and Red Wine Ragu with foraged Porcini, Elderberries and Bilberries. 🥘 🍄‍🟫

I’m super excited to be bringing this event to Derby in collaboration with peakforager

Urban Forage & Feast - Sunday 29th September, Darley Abbey. 🌱 🍄‍🟫 🍽️

I feel it is important for us all to have more of an awareness of our wild food, and to become more sustainable and incorporate foraged, local and seasonal produce into our diets.
This event ticks all those boxes. ✅

Urban Forage and Feast.
A guided 2-3 hour forage around Darley Park with professional forager Andrew Ford followed by a feasting dinner using locally foraged and seasonal produce at the beautiful Coach House B&B.

Moroccan Feasting Menu..

I feel this menu deserves a post of its own.
It’s been our most popular choice this year.

Loaded boards down the centre of the table, colourful side dishes, sociable sharing and no need for individual pre ordering. Less stress!

Fabulous First Wedding of the Year. 💒

Self Catering accommodation, The Temple, Matlock. Looking down just over Matlock Bath, this former hotel has 15 bedrooms, 2 bars, lounges, formal dining space, catering kitchen, stunning views, and 2 hot tubs I might add!

Our bride and groom hired us to cook a not so traditional fun rustic wedding breakfast of Canapés, pie & mash, & sticky toffee pudding.

As our bride said “who doesn’t love pie?” 🥧

Couldn’t go without mentioning one of my most favourite aspects of this year, needs a reel to itself and again there are far too many pics to choose from! Foraging! 🌱 🍄 It started with a lesson in April and boom, mind blown, I Fell in love with it. It’s ended with running our own events.
