Just a quick update as we know some of you have been waiting on refunds for party deposits - we do apologise for the delay in these, we had hoped to have all these sorted by now, but for reasons beyond our control, this process has been delayed and we are working on rectifying it as soon as we can.

We have tried to get back to customers who have messaged us to explain the situation and apologise if we haven’t got back to you yet.

Party deposits are our priority, but if we can refund any vouchers purchased after party deposits have been dealt with, we will in due course. Please appreciate that we are no longer trading as a result of increased financial strains on the business during very difficult economic times. A situation we had not envisaged and we are doing all that we can to appease as many customers as we can, but we are having to source and raise the funds required to provide these unexpected refund requests. We are doing the best that we can to do this.

To all our amazing customers and supporters;

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have to let you all know that, after recently reducing our opening hours to try and combat the current energy crisis, we have reluctantly decided to keep the doors of Level Up permanently closed.

After an amazing start to our business, the past few years have been extremely tough and the impact of COVID has been very difficult to recover from, but the recent pressure of the energy crisis has caused us to admit defeat and power down. The immense pressure of all that has come at us as a new business over the last few years has taken its toll and while we did have plans to get back on our feet and come out stronger, these plans have sadly fallen through recently and as a result it’s just proving a boss-fight we simply can’t win.

This week has been extremely tough and decisions have had to be made quite suddenly, but we have tried to ensure that we have contacted all of our amazing customers that have made future bookings with us, before formally announcing our closure. For those that have a booking with us, we have tried to message you and let you know what is happening and that we will be refunding any deposits made as soon as we can. If for some reason you haven’t heard from us, please get in touch and we will get anything you need sorted out and we sincerely apologise for any disappointment caused.

We really hope that we added a bit of excitement to the town of Dereham and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for visiting over the years and those that have celebrated a special occasion with us. It has been an amazing ride and we loved every second of having you all in and gaming. You’ve never just been customers, you’re all friends and we will miss you.

Thank you so much for all of your support and maybe one day, Level Up will reboot under more stable circumstances, but for now, we simply have to say thank you so much for the amazing times, shut all systems down and say our goodbyes.

Don’t forget, we’ve got a 4-Player N64 set up in our retro room upstairs, where you can battle it out on Goldeneye on a 55” TV! - If you fancy booking into the retro room at the weekend, drop us a message!
