TYPE 1 DIABETES - whoa I never though at 11 years old I would contract an incurable disease that would technically change my life forever.
So many children are diagnosed at such an early age every year. I even remember my Mother being in shock when she found out. Multiple injections every day, making sure no matter where I go that I have something with me in case I go into a Hypo, the list goes on.
Yeah I know there's worse out there, there's diseases that will kill you, however, not treated right Diabetes will do the same thing.
I hope there will be a cure one day, I'd love to see it in my lifetime but realistically I probably wont. That's where the fundraising helps though, more money means more research. In the past 36 years I have watched how the research has helped making deal with diabetes easier but it can be better and some day a cure will come.
So to raise money I am going to do a Tandem Skydive. I'm 48 and let me tell you I am not so fond of having to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane 🤣
Please if you can spare anything at all use the following link to donate you will be helping diabetics all across NI to have a better future. Thank you so much in advance.

**Type 1 diabetes is a serious autoimmune condition that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks beta cells within the pancreas, which then stop producing insulin. As a result, glucose levels in your blood start to rise, and your body can’t function unless you replace the insulin.**
