We’ve been working really hard in epically potent training with the incredible Dawn Kinsella. I have hardly any pics from this week. Here we are opening and closing the day with a gorgeous song we were taught by Dotty Yates, writer of the song.
Can not wait to hold these powerful ceremonies within my community

⚠️Funeral Scam Alert in NI!

I have just recieved this email from the National Association of Funeral Directors .

Scammers target Northern Ireland funerals

Dear colleague,

We have become aware of a sharp rise in scam operators targeting bereaved people in Northern Ireland by asking for credit card details to supposedly view funeral live streams.

The scammers have been using genuine death notices to set up fake pages which suggest it is an official page to be able to view the funeral online. Once a user clicks a link, it asks for credit card details to allow access. Scammers then have the user’s debit or credit card details which police say can be used for a more "sophisticated" scam where losses could be "life changing".

These fake links are also being posted under genuine Facebook posts by Funeral Directors, and scammers are sending friend requests to the deceased person’s friends and family, trying to get them to part with their credit card details. One Funeral Director even said fake fundraisers were being set up. NAFD members Hugh Wade & Son have posted on their own Facebook site warning bereaved people of the scam.

We have worked with the Belfast Telegraph to highlight the issue and an article appeared in Thursday’s paper and online here. NAFD Executive member Ian Milne spoke to the journalist and the NAFD issued the following comment:

A spokesman for the National Association of Funeral Directors said: "This is a despicable practice preying on bereaved people. Our advice to members of the public is to be extremely wary of any external links supposedly giving access to a live-stream, and instead always check with the family or the funeral director, who will be able to provide them with the correct link. Funeral Directors do not generally charge for live streaming.”

We strongly urge you to make bereaved families aware of this situation, either in person or via your social media, and if there is a live streaming, ensure the family is provided with the correct link to pass onto anyone who wishes to view the funeral.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is aware of the situation and urged the public to stop and consider before releasing their financial details.If you have any concerns please contact Nick Britten on [email protected]

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Mc Geady!!
This was such a beautiful and emotional wedding ceremony.
The gorgeous couple wrote their own vows and there wasn’t a dry eye !
They created their own incense blend for a Blessing from Air. Lauren made their candles for the Blessing from Fire . I collected spring waters for the Blessing of Water, Shane knotted their hand fasting cord and he made a wand and Lauren a hoop.
What a creative, magical ceremony.
The location was perfect in the Orangery of Glenveigh Castle .

Beltaine Blessings

I love this time of year. We are in-between Spring equinox and Simmer Solstice .
Nature is truly alive and buds are bursting . It’s so exciting, winter is truly gone for the longest while . we are heading into warmer, brighter days.
This is a time of fertility , the union of the feminine and masculine. A beautiful time and long standing Celtic tradition for proposals, hand-fastings and weddings .
