Absolutely devastated to hear of the death of this amazing artist, Danielle Moore. As the lead singer in one of my favourite electronic acts, Crazy P, I’ve seen her perform live at festivals, danced to their tracks in clubs, and the records are still a staple of my record box as a DJ. Their albums are always on in my car, and I was only having a conversation on Saturday afternoon with a dance festival promoter who knew her, about what a great act they were, neither of us realising she had already passed at that point. Sad,sad news.

We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances. This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th. We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you. She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken. We need time to process that this has happened. Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music. She lived the biggest of lives. We will miss her with all our hearts X

Less than two months to go before Music Barn Festival 2024!

Looking forward to sharing the stages with some great local DJ friends - firstly my old co-resident DJ Gavlar, as we bring you two sets of the funkiest summer afternoon disco vibes on the Slade stage - as well as DJD getting things heated up over on the Selecta stage, and 1905 Project lighting up the Slade stage later on. Always good to see these guys.

Throwback Thursday...!
June 1996 and I found myself in the hallowed pages of clubland's MUSIK Magazine, captured pounding the dancefloor of the upstairs techno room at Club UK Midlands, Wolverhampton. It was MUSIK Magazine's big 1st Birthday event, the main afterparty for their inaugural 'Saints and Sinners' Industry Awards, celebrating the best (and worst) of the year's clubs, DJs and dance tracks.

Here's me sandwiched between the DJ royalty of LTJ Bukem, Roger Sanchez and Armand Van Helden. A memorable night's clubbing that ended with us being pulled over by the police 20 miles from home and, after a bizarre turn of events, I was left stranded and asleep at 6am on the A14. Good times!!! 😆

One of my favourite Xmas pressies ever, thanks to Katy CW and our boys. So many memories of this place, that I know a few of you on here will also share. Such good times for me from 1991-1993, from organising the coaches from Kettering to the Monday night hip hop sessions, progressing on to the weekly rave all nighters from ESP Supernova / Helter Skelter, and later Equinox. Still never experienced a sound system like it since, the best nights in a total sweat box in the middle of nowhere.

Something very special happened this weekend at The Hacienda Returns at the Warehouse Project in Manchester. You could see the excitement building in the Hacienda Social group, and it delivered big time. Thousands of top class, seasoned party people on the best form I’ve seen since the early to mid nineties. My face hurt from smiling, laughing and singing and my body was wrecked from hours dancing on a podium in a greenhouse. Quality live performances from A Certain Ratio, Inner City and Leftfield. With Graeme Park, John Dasilva and Mark XTC creating absolute scenes in the amazing Plant Room. What a night.

Back in 2010 I started the first live DJ house music nights at the Olive Lounge in Rothwell, with events like You Got The Love, Get Back To Love, the SundayFunkSoulSession (bank holiday all-dayer) and a whole series of The Live Lounge nights, playing a mix of classic old school / upfront Ibiza house, on vinyl, with occasional guest DJs. These classic ticketed parties often sold to capacity to a dressy, up for it local crowd, and the venue even ended up rebuilding the bar area to cope with the demand!

We played our last party there 3 years later in summer 2012 - but now, exactly 10 years on I’m looking forward to once again playing a House Classics vinyl set for the local Rothwell & Desborough party crew at Crick Fest this Sunday afternoon, recreating some of those original vibes. Hope to see plenty of old Olive Lounge faces throwing some shapes. 💗😍
