Have you ever considered becoming a Festival Maker? The variety of ways you can get involved is honestly mind-blowing. Love getting crafty? Run workshops with us! Prefer being behind the scenes? Help with setup and logistics. Enjoy meeting people? Steward our events and chat with audiences. There's something for everyone – from putting up posters around town to prepping refreshments, supporting some amazing performers, or helping with the hundred little jobs that make events magical.

Right now we're looking for more wonderful people to join our crew 🙌
You might be thinking "I'm not sure I have the right skills" or "I don't have loads of free time" – but honestly? That doesn't matter! Our current team of 75 volunteers includes everyone from 18-year-olds to sprightly 80-somethings. Some people help at every single event (absolute legends!), while others choose one special event each year that speaks to them.

So if you've ever thought "I'd love to be part of making Devizes events happen" or you're looking to meet like-minded people while doing something meaningful... maybe this is your moment?

The Colour Rush has become an intrinsic part of the Conffeti Battle, bringing another layer of colour and excitement to the event. The addition of a shorter, more accessible flat route has enabled those in mobility scooters and pushing pushchairs to join the fun.
We are now looking for a warm-up expert to help our accessible route participants get in the swing of the event. We would love a local person who could deliver a 5 to 10 minute chair-style warm-up to this small group of participants. It would mean the world to those involved, and to us. This is a voluntary position, you’ll be welcome to join the race with the participants from Hillworth Park and we’ll give you a T- shirt. We’ll also show you a lot of love on social media.
The Wheelie Rush is on the 16th of August around 6pm. If you are interested, please email [email protected] for an informal discussion.

We're gearing up for this year's spectacular Lantern Parade on 28th November 2025, and we want YOUR group to be part of the magic!

What we're offering:
✨ Hands-on lantern making workshops led by our experienced facilitators
✨ All materials provided – just bring your creativity!
✨ Perfect for community groups of all ages and skill levels
✨ New to lantern making? No problem! We'll guide your group through creating beautiful pyramid and diamond-shaped lanterns that are simple yet stunning

Whether you're a community centre, local club, charity group, residents association, or any other community organisation – we'd love to work with you again (or meet you for the first time!).

This Year Devizes Carnival Needs You!

We at DOCA are happy to share that we will be working with Devizes Town Council to get Carnival back on the streets of Devizes this August.

What we need is for local community groups, families, companies or anyone up for it to register their interest before Monday 30th June.

The Wheelie Rush our accessible wheel chair friendly route is back this year! Open to anyone with accessibility needs or those wishing to participant in a shorter route. The Wheelie Rush is also the same 2.5km route as previous years, starting in Hillworth Park and also finishing in the Market Place.

Registration opens at Hillworth park at 5:45pm with the race beginning at 6:40pm.

Entry is £15 per person, which includes a souvenir t-shirt when you book before Monday 21st July. After this date, t-shirts will be available on a first-come basis.

If you require a free carer/Personal Assistant ticket to enable your assistant to accompany you on the route, please email [email protected] and the team will be happy to help.

Open to anyone aged 8 and over (children 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult).

Entry fees support DOCA in delivering quality community events throughout Devizes all year.
