So the boys have been sheared today🦙☀️

They must feel much better, it’s 27 degrees and way too hot for them to have their thick fleeces on.

I feel relieved but it wasn’t pleasant watching them stress when they were sheared🥹😅

The shearers are great with the alpacas, so attentive and careful. They have come all the way from New Zealand to shear alpacas across the UK. Thank you to Nigel and his team for the wonderful service🦙✂️

Shearing alpacas yearly is not only good for them, but very necessary for their health and well-being. It helps them to stay cool in the summer and gives them time to grow back their coat for winter.

While shearing may not be their favorite thing, it's an important part of taking care of these amazing animals.🫶🏼🦙🫶🏼

All of the animals are enjoying the nice weather, We are keeping them as cool as possible in this heat wave. ☀️🌸

The alpacas are having their fluffy fleeces sheared on Friday so they will be much cooler🦙🫶🏼
