Weekend staff for horses, reindeer, etc required. Happy to have job share or two people on alternative weekends.

You must be:

Animal lover
Experienced with horses (training with reindeer and other animals given).
RELIABLE
Able to work on own
Be able to maintain standard of work.
Reference will be required

Age over 16 and fit semi or retired person will be eligible.

Duties include:

Turning out horses and ponies
Mucking out stables
Poo picking
Feeding all animals including reindeer, owls, tortoises, goat
Monitoring Health of animals and report to owner if necessary.
Extra work available in particular during November and December for reindeer work.

Hours mornings up to 3
Evening yard 1 hour.

Pay will be according to experience and will increase after probation period of 1 month. No more time wasters please.

Yard staff wanted for Sundays to look after horses, ponies, reindeer, owls etc.

Must be local to Didcot based in village just outside. Must have minimum experience with horses, reasonably fit and reliable.

Initially for 3 months, but can continue if wanted to.

Duties turning out, feeding all animals, mucking out horses etc. Training in reindeer care etc will be given.

Approximately 4 to 4.5 hours day morning and evening.

It is with deep regret that we are unable to offer any school visits with the reindeer for Christmas 2020. This is due to the covid 19 pandemic and to protect our family, staff and reindeer.
I hope we can resume normal service next year in 2021. Please everyone stay safe!!

We had a lovely weekend with the reindeer in High Wycomber, Iver, and Princes Risborough. Our lovely Father Christmas was on good form as ever and loved by everyone. Well done Reindeer 2 Hire crews and of course our lovely reindeer, all superstars. Cupid you get a special well done for the lovely pranced walk you put on for the Santa arrival at Flowerland, Iver. Really stunning boy. Snowflake and Tinsel your are as beautiful and amazing as ever, Cracker you just love the public attention and our Blitzen and Buddy, the handsome big boys were on full form and wowed the public again. Well done everyone, you are the best!!

Just returned home from a very successful film shoot! Bless Buddy & Cracker they were little stars. Most amazing location in a 13th Century barn with 'Wiches' marks still on view (behind glass) on the door. Lovely day had by all. Desmond (film man) and Lee (Actor) were amazing today as well! Thank you all.

Yard staff required for November & December 2017. Weekdays and weekend work. Caring for horses, ponies, goats, reindeer, owls, giant tortoises. Require one or two people to cover Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays & Saturdays - hours are 8 am to 11 am and 4.30 - 5.30 pm. MUST be experienced with horses. Rate of pay up to 21 years £8 per hour. Over 21 years £9 per hour. Candidate must complete 3 days unpaid to evaluate both parties happy to continue. TRAILER DRIVER REQUIRED FOR REINDEER WORK.

Reindeer 2 Hire require a Trailer Driver with own towing vehicle preferred to transport reindeer and staff to events and attend at event with staff. You WILL NOT be asked to transport into London. You MUST be an experienced driver with towing experience, clean license (SP30 fixed penalty allowed), you MUST be reliable, fun, able to interact with the public, presentable and most of all SAFE.
You will be with an experienced member of staff and training on the reindeer will be given.

Dates required at present are:

Friday 1st December 2017 (local Wantage exhibit time 3 hours) .

Saturday 2nd December 2017 either Farnham Garden Centre or Newbury school - exhibit time 3 - 5 hours.

Sunday 3rd December 2017 - Ascot - childrens hospice exhibit time 5 hours.

Thursday 14th December 2017 - Banbury School Fair exhibit time 1.5 hours.

Rate of Pay for Friday, Saturday & Sunday events £150 per day, plus all fuel paid to transport to and from events.

Rate of Pay for Thusday event £120.00 plus all fuel paid for to transport to and from events.

There may well be more work for the right candidate.
Trailers are either 505 or 511 Ifor williams.

Reindeer 2 Hire are looking for part time REINDEER HANDLER STAFF to attend events with the reindeer crews in December 2017. We require both weekday and weekend staff. Candidates must be reliable, flexible, have a good sense of humour, be able to interact with the public and of course have at the very least experience with horses and ponies to confidently lead a reindeer!. Training will be given and you will always be with an experienced member of staff. Rates of pay £80 per day.
