Celebrating growth (…again) at ATA Sameday!

Excited to introduce the newest additions to our already impressive fleet of vans and lorries – another two powerful vehicles that represent the continuous growth company. Pictured is Amanda Burch, our CEO, standing with the freshly branded lorries, reflecting our progress and the promising future ahead.

Amanda's Journey: From Recruitment to Logistics Leader

Fourteen years ago, Amanda made a bold transition from Driving and Industrial Recruitment to the world of Logistics. Starting from scratch, she had to quickly learn how to manage a fleet, including understanding working hour rules and how tachographs work.
"We began with a small fleet of vans. Accountability and training were crucial lessons, especially when dealing with vehicle maintenance. Back then, telematics was so basic. We often struggled to track our vans, let alone monitor fuel levels or immobilise them remotely."

After many spreadsheets and lessons learned from mistakes, Amanda figured out how to manage a fleet. Here are some key lessons from her journey:
Set up your own garage for efficient fleet maintenance.
Invest in a recovery truck to handle any road issues quickly.
Learn the 'garage lingo' for better communication.
Keep up with regular maintenance and address recalls right away.
A good tracker system will cost you thousands but will save you thousands. Minimize your risk on the road – it’s not just about having someone in the driver’s seat; it’s about having a reliable insurance policy that’s always with you.
Hold people accountable – while you maintain the vehicle, it’s the driver’s responsibility to report any issues and ensure they add AdBlue and oil (and definitely not petrol in the AdBlue tank!).

“After all the challenges, I wanted to take things further. Our HGVs are capable of delivering anything and everything. Now, 14 years later, with a fleet of over 500 vehicles (I really need to stop buying them!), I've added another two – Bill and Ben. And no, that’s not Bill and Ben, that’s Russ, our Transport Manager, standing next to me.
These two lorries are the latest additions to our existing fleet of vans of all sizes and HGVs and mark the beginning of our bigger (…actually much bigger) plans for future.
Due to high demand from our customers and the need to handle bigger volumes, these new lorries have been added to ensure we continue to meet and exceed our clients' expectations. Russ, you’re going to be very busy!”

Guess who had an amazing time at the B2B Marketing & Sales Innovation Expo at Excel London?
Beatrice and Ioana did! 😊

From exploring the expo and attending insightful talks at the Intelligence Theatre, to snapping a fun picture with Darth Vader, everything was fantastic. They also had a great time ordering coffees through an AI machine (Webex by Cisco) and, of course, meeting Christopher Martin from ROAR B2B, one of the fantastic organisers of the event. A huge thanks to Chris for hosting such a great event – we're already looking forward to the next one!

Căutăm soferi dedicati pentru a prelua coletele clienților noștri cu zâmbetul pe buze. Vei colecta pachetele din diverse locații pe parcursul zilei, acoperind o distanta de 45 de mile din Bristol.

Ce ai de făcut:

Să scanezi fiecare colet corect și să le încarci în dubă (sacii îi ai de la noi).
Să gestionezi zilnic un numar variat de colete.
Să respecți orele de început, care pot varia între 09:00 și 13:00.
