⚜️ Coronation Cream Teas - Sunday 7th May ⚜️

1st Harwell ESU is fundraising for an exciting international expedition. For all of our youth members, this will be their first experience of international scouting and it's a great opportunity for them to not only represent 1st Harwell Scouts but also UK Scouting abroad this summer. We're heading to Europe to explore cities, mountains and meet international Scouts.

We are teaming up with The Harwellian and joining in with their Coronation Celebrations to serve cream teas on Sunday 7th May at the Rec & Harwellian.

✨ Eat-in Cream Tea (in the Harwellian) ✨

Choose a time-slot and join us inside the Harwellian, where the Explorers will show you to your table and serve you a fresh cream tea with tea and coffee. Each time slot is 45 minutes, once you have finished your cream tea, you can move across to the additional seating in the Harwellian or move outside and enjoy the live music.

What's included in the eat-in cream tea:

It’s not everyday you have a mention in a wedding magazine. I had the absolute pleasure of providing wedding flowers for the amazing luci and Liam at the stunning wedding venue The Vineyard Hotel Newbury. Luci’s vision was to have a soft romantic feel to her wedding day with soft pinks and whites using roses, gypsophilia, astilbe and eucalyptus throughout. Their table flowers were large martini vases, placed on mirrors with smaller vases around the base eith T lights fitted around, which really made quite a statement in this stunning room. The wedding team were so efficient and friendly. Thank you for including me. &oxonweddingmagazine

🎄🌍 Sustainable Christmas Wreaths 🌍🎄

Here at Ann Laing Flowers, we are always striving to be a more sustainable small business - especially around the festive season, when it's very easy to use plastic and other man-made materials for decorating.

In recent years, we have moved away from the tradition Oasis wreath bases and move to willow wreath bases which are handmade, using British-grown willow. When we do use Oasis, we use their new bio-degradable option, which includes a recyclable plastic pan.

We have also taken the time to source our foliage from sustainable growers.

We have designed the DIY Eco Christmas Wreath Kit to be reusable and bio-degradable, so when the festive season is over, simply cut off the bunches of greenery and decorations and put them in the compost. Then you are able to reuse the willow wreath and the same techniques learned to create Spring, Summer and Autumn wreaths.
