Here’s five of the finest most fragrant roses, cut in the cool of the morning before the heat of the day!

All have their own distinctive fragrance; warm heady notes of cloves and honey, mysterious musk and myrrh, fresh, citrus, zestful apple zing…
All unfurling their many glorious ruffled layers. sensual, blousy and utterly irrestistable.

Bunches and bouquets of these beauties and more, available this week and next - all have fabulously long stems and a great vase life. If you can’t resist, drop me a message or email to place an order.
Bottom left to right; Sweet Juliet, Duchess of Cornwall, Unknown, Prince Jardiniere, White perfumella

I just want to thank everyone who came to the Garden Open Day last weekend, it was wonderful to have so many visitors and so many appreciative comments. The thank you extends to all the organisers of the event, for all their hard work that went on behind the scenes over the days and weeks before, who hopefully have recovered by now! It was a very busy day…
On a personal note I want to say a huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers who over the past months have been an incredibly dedicated tag team, helping to cultivate, nurture and tend the garden, your energy and care is still felt, lives on and the garden is thriving!
If you missed this opportunity to visit the garden my next Garden Open Day is on Sunday 10th September - ticket info in bio
If you would like to get involved in the garden, we have a volunteer day on a Tuesday from 10am. Its a great opportunity to spend time outside, in the peace and tranquility of the garden, start to learn about growing and gardening and build on existing gardening skills. This luscious ‘thank you’ bouquet was amongst the orders yesterday. Featuring all my garden grown beauties including the first of the Italian ranunculus and the first aquilegias. And, whilst on my deliveries I saw my first flock of Swallows and House Martins, they must have just arrived and were dipping and diving and whirling through the air…it was such an affirmative joy to see and truly a sign of the seasonal shift from spring to early summer.
All my bouquets and posies are unique, flowers carefully grown, chosen and styled to create my distinctive Gabriel’s Garden look. The garden is blooming, so if you’re looking for a beautiful gift or simply flowers to enjoy please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you! .

I have a thing about the hedgerow at this time of year - it’s just the start of the unfurling emergence of verdant greens… undeterred by the frosty nights and brought on by the warmth of a bright sunshiny day…. perfect shoots and leaves uncurling….. all of a tangle - hornbeam, willow, spirea, amelanchier and clematis armandii.

What a difference a little bit of sunshine, a few degrees + and some gentle rain makes… I planted out the last of the anemones in the gaps between the emerging narcissi and tulips; a joy to have my hands in the soil.
My garden companion Clara enjoyed the first day of Spring too, keeping a watchful eye out for voles…

This Tuesday's photo walk is another themed one and I'm really looking forward to sharing light painting techniques with my group as we explore the wonderful Gabriel's Garden.

I held the first one of these in January and there were some stunning shots produced. I was so proud of everyone as they came in not having done any light painting before at all. The session gave them the knowledge, time and space to play for a few hours, trying out different exposures, different light sources and a variety of movements. It really was so much fun and I'll be doing another one on 31 October too, if you'd like to join me.
