Programme of Dodworth High Street Events Christmas Market on Sunday 3rd Dec starts 1pm.

Inside Dodworth Central Social Club on Station Road S75 3JA there are a total of 18 stalls. Down into the Methodist Church on Green Road you'll find a warm welcome, lots of craft and Christmas gift stalls, tombola and refreshments. Then stretching along the Dodworth High St S75 3RF. Santa will waiting to see the children in Dodworth Libary. And for those true Doderthers (over a certain age) who will remember we have the return of a mini funfair of kiddies rides in the Dil Raj carpark along with various craft and gift stalls and the Cheeseman of Holmfirth. More stalls can be found infront of the chemist and The Thornely Arms.

Our entertainment marquee can be found by the Christmas tree and its here where our special guest opens the event at 1pm followed by our very own Dodworth Colliery Brass Band . Absolutely FABBAlous tribute band will get you grooving at 2pm. A Christmas sing-a-long for everyone follows then at 3pm we have the super Glitter Bugz vocal band. Our entertainment concludes at 4pm with the Grand Prize Draw. Raffle tickets on sale in Dil Raj carpark.

Festive drinks and refreshments are available at various locations throughout the event and some of our local trades people will be open.

Special thanks to the following for their help in organising this year's event Dodworth Ward Alliance, local councillors Chris Wray and Will Fielding, our compare for the event David Lane, local trades people for their kind donations of raffle prizes and our main event Sponsor Infinite Fire & Security of Dodworth.

If you've not had your table booking confirmed yet for the Christmas Event in the village please check your emails first then message below. We have a few stalls still available for anyone wishing to join in.

Also looking for local sponsorship to help towards the cost of putting up the Christmas lights on the High Street. The cost is £155 PER LIGHT!!! YES I KNOW THATS EXPENSIVE....but this amount is set by Barnsley Council. They do add to the festive feeling so if you can spare any amount please email [email protected] for info where to send your kind donation.

Dodworth High Street Events Group is a collection of local businesses and residents who get together with the help of local councillors. Our aim is to organise local events, including this year's Christmas Fayre and to raise the necessary funds to do so.
New volunteers, fundraiser, sponsors are always welcome. Our next meeting is 7th September at 4.30pm in the Central Club Station Road. Please come along or get in touch if you would like to get involved in any way. These local events benefit the whole community.
The Christmas Event has been a huge success over the last few years. If you would like a stall at this year's Fayre which is being held Sunday 3rd Dec we are currently gathering a list of names....also if you are a performer, artist, band or musician and would like to perform on the day please email [email protected]. We would love to hear from you.
