A huge thank you to all who attended our Annual Dodworth High Street Events Christmas Market last Sunday and to all those who helped tirelessly to make it happen....I'm sure you'll agree it was a great day. Thank you also to Stephanie Hirst who declared the festivities open, to David Lane who compared the event. A huge round of applause to our fabulous entertainers Dodworth Colliery MW Brass Band & Training Band Organisation, Tom Masters, Charlotte Blackburn & Graham Lindley. To Dawn from Dodworth Ward Alliance and our local Lib Dem councillors Chris Wray & Will Fielding. Last but by no means least our local businesses Dilraj Indian Takeaway Dodworth Central Social Club Dodworth Methodist Church Dodworth Tap Dodworth Libary and Santa Dodworth Co-op and the Thornley Arms for your warm welcome and use of your facilities

Friday 29th November: Thornely Arms Dodworth 8pm

Saturday 30th November: Nailmaker Brewing Co Tap & Shop Darton at 3pm + The Botanist Barnsley at 8pm alongside all my friends in Platinum Party Band!

Sunday 1st December: Dodworth Xmas Fayre at 3pm + Tipi Events down in The Glass Works Square Barnsley for my Christmas Residency at the one off later time at 4.30pm! Back to normal at 1pm after this week!

Would LOVE to see you at one of these friends! Either way, have a proper nice weekend!

***ATTENTION STALLHOLDERS *** for this coming Sunday 1st Dec at our annual Dodworth High Street Events Dodworth High Street Events Christmas Market set up at both Dilraj Indian Takeaway carpark and Dodworth Central Social Club from 11am. Dodworth Methodist Church will have made there own arrangements. Please ensure you remove all your own rubbish. Let's hope for fine weather...have fun and emjoy the festivities

It was great to see people donating food, clothing and other items in Barnsley Market on Monday to help those facing homelessness or sleeping rough this winter.

Our Housing Options team will be back in Barnsley Market today until 5pm (Wednesday 20 November) and on Friday morning (22 November) as part of Safeguarding Awareness Week.

From tea and coffee to hats and scarves, have a look at their shopping list and give if you can at their stall.

Your donated items will then be shared with local homeless charities in Barnsley as we work together to help everyone in our communities.
