Happy 32nd Birthday Screamadelica !!! Released on this day in 1991 on the independent Creation Records label ran by Alan Mcgee & Dick GreenIt won the very first Mercury Prize in 1992. In 2010 the album cover art was used on a Royal Mail postage stamp alongside classic albums like Let it Bleed / Led Zep 4 / Power Corruption & Lies / London Calling - Paul Cannel the artist who created the 'damaged sun / son' image would've loved that.

One of the busiest men in the business, the legend David Holmes will open and close Convenanza Festival this year, with guests. Details to be announced soon.
David needs no introduction. He made his debut at Convenanza last year with an amazing opening party + two ‘Music’s Not For Everyone’ sessions.
In his various roles as acclaimed DJ, film composer or producer, Belfast-based Holmes never stops. You get the sense that, at the centre of it all, there is a burning, restless mind at work, alive to possibility.
We’re delighted he’s joining us again.
