Many of you will recognise our lovely Lauren - lots of you wished her well as she was carrying on styling brides and prom queens while pregnant, which she was hoping to do right up to her due date ... but our beautiful little Dottie had other ideas.

Dottie made a dramatic entrance, arriving at only 25 weeks back in February this year. It was a long road to home but Lauren and Dottie received some fantastic care at both Jessops and DRI, and they now manage to pop in and visit us when they can 🧡

Now Lauren would like to help raise money to help other families in similar situations by walking 75 miles through September for the charity Bliss. If you can share this post or even donate to help Lauren's fundraising we'd be really grateful.

🛑 CLOSED FOR A WEEK 🛑

Our chief model/choreographer/sewing assistant Vicky is getting married this weekend! So it's our turn to get glammed up for a change 💃 We already can't wait to show you her gorgeous dress!

As a small family business this means we have to close as it is a family wedding (unfortunately for Vicky she's marrying my brother 🤣) so please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

✨ PROM 2025 ✨ Are you ready?✨

We’ve been inundated with requests for prom appointments for prom 2025 - you guys are KEEN! Here's the answers to some of those burning questions...

🩷Is it too early to choose a dress?

Never! We already have some of the new collection ready and waiting for you, as well as the carryover styles from 2024. There’s already over 300 dresses to choose from so you'll be spoilt for choice.

🩷When will the new season dresses be in store?

Our official 2025 collection launch will be Saturday 7th September - at this point we expect to have most of thenew collection in for you to choose from. But some are already on the shop floor waiting...

🩷 Can I book now for later?

You certainly can! The diary is open to book appointments any time up to and including October half term. You just need to choose when you want to come in! If you’re just too excited and want to get your dress chosen before everyone else - come in over the summer holidays!
If you’d rather wait til there’s more new dresses, wait for our September launch. There’ll be more to choose from but you do run the risk of some styles being sold out for your school before you come - we won’t sell the same dress to the same school even in a different colour so you have to be quick!

⏱️QUESTION TIME ⏱️

We've had a little flurry recently of brides shopping for their dress last minute - we've had a LOT of Summer '24 brides in the last couple of weeks and there's lots of questions coming in so we thought we'd answer a few...

👰What's the latest I can leave it to choose my dress?

In the last month we've helped a lot of brides with less than a month to their big day. We once helped a bride who came to choose a dress less than 48 hours before the big day (we definitely prefer at least a couple of weeks notice 🤣) but it really is never too late.

👰Do I have to have an ex-sample?

No! We have a huge range of ex-sample dresses that are still in wonderful condition and perfect for a last minute wedding, but so long as you have at least 4 weeks to the big day we can still order a large number of our dresses in for you. Ex-samples are usually cheaper, and they are all well cared for so don't rule them out if you're working to a tight schedule!

👰Can I still have my dress altered?

Yes! Having our own seamstress means we can still offer alterations at short notice.

👰Can I still get accessories at short notice?

Absolutey - we keep lots of veils, belts and hairpieces in stock so you can complete your look no matter how soon your big day is!
