FIRST JAPANESE TASTER EVENING OF 2025!

We're now taking bookings for our first Japanese taster evening of the year at the wonderful Sykehouse Village Hall!

Back in November we were booked up before publicly announcing it! Tables are very limited so please send us a message if you'd like to join us!

£35/pp due at time of booking. Bar open with variety of alcoholic and soft drinks - this is not a bring-your-own event.

We are currently closed until mid February for renovations - exciting! New equipment, new interior layout and exterior titivations are all in the works!

We know absence makes the heart grow fonder and soon enough we will be back out and about serving up a delicious Far Eastern inspired menu! Our improvements will mean there will be a couple new menu items including popular specials that will become permanent.

We are still of course taking bookings from mid February onwards - Pub/Village hall pop ups - Public events - Private events - Workplace pop ups - Taster evenings! We already have some exciting new venues to visit this year!

We also have a handy new form for private events, parties, weddings etc. where you'll want a reduced menu for a set amount of covers - the form will stay pinned to the top of our page.

We are proud to announce our second taster evening after a very successful evening at Sykehouse Village Hall!

This time we are taking over the kitchen at the wonderful Taste Village Bistro Armthorpe on Friday 13th December!

Only tables of 2, 4 & 6 are available at this event. tables of 6 are VERY limited so please contact us ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Please note that full payment of £35pp is payable at time of booking to secure your table. We retain the right to fill your table if full payment is not received.

The BIGGEST thank you to my wonderful diners at my first taster evening last night!

I was so happy to hear what a lovely evening you all had- it was overwhelming that you enjoyed my menu as I’d been rather ambitious and it dawned on that day that I have to pull this off!!

Of course I couldn’t have done it without my team! My fantastic mum and sous chef, Paula (Sorry mum I’m the head chef here🤪), The BEST pot washer in town aka my Dad Paul! Oliwia who I can always trust to get things done and my lovely waitresses Isobel, Cade, Summer, Layla & Roxy - without you guys there would have been no taster evening!
Special thanks to my amazing partner Joe who has become quite the barman recently! And for supporting everything I want to achieve 🥰

As always there were things to improve, processes to streamline and lots to learn but I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and well, soon I shall start planning the next one!

Thank you all once again for placing your faith in me and I hope you all truly had a great evening.

Next week we will be heading to Walkeringham Village Hall & Carpenter’s Arms, Westwoodside on Thursday and Friday respectively.

We will be outside Fishlake village Hall serving 5-8pm or until you scare us away!👻

We are OPEN TO ALL - event goers and general public!

Please note the Halloween event inside the hall is ticket ONLY - raising money to restore the playing field facilities.

Alongside our voucher you can win in the raffle, we will be donating £1 on every order tonight to the playing field committee so come down and help us support a fantastic cause!

Full menu available!

All your favourite flavours on Bao, sticky sushi rice or on our skin on crispy fries including a very limited stock special - Prawn ‘toast’ Bao! Own recipe minced prawn patty inside a panko breadcrumb case, drizzled with sweet chilli sauce - served with cucumber and spring onion.

Serving 5-7:30 so don’t leave it too late!
