RBDF and French Navy Vessel Conducts Bilateral Training
Defence Headquarters, May 23, ‘22 (RBDF): French overseas support and assistance ship “Dumont D’Urville” under the command of Lieutenant Commander Matthieu Paquet of the French Navy conduct bilateral training exercises with Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ship NASSAU commanded by Lieutenant Commander Alexis Brown for the purpose of the exercise while on routine stopover project.
On Monday 23 May 2022 both vessels rendezvous in the Nassau Harbour in order to conduct training exercises inclusive of boarding procedures, launching and recovery of amphibious craft, tactical navigation, and tactical maneuvers.
These training exercises tie in with Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic objective of strengthening relations with partner nations to ensure interoperability in joint Maritime Interdiction Operations.
