Throughout the years, I’ve had the incredible honour of working with some talented photographers and suppliers in the industry and would like to say a massive thank you to all.

Each wedding is unique and through the lens of these amazing artists, I get to relive those beautiful moments over and over again.

The raw emotions captured, the tearful glances, the joyous laughter, and those intimate, candid moments that tell the story of love in its purest form are the best memories from the day.

Personally I believe that detailed shots are as important too, because they highlight the personal touches that make each wedding special in their own way. They tell the story of the couple’s journey and their individual style. Whether it’s the delicate embroidery on a veil, the elegance of a handwritten vow book, or the sparkle of the rings, these elements create a rich, visual narrative. As we step into 2024 a noticeable shift is taking place in the world of weddings. Couples are moving away from fleeting trends embracing the enduring charm of classic timeless designs. The focus will be on creating stylish celebrations that reflect personalisation, multiday festivities, unexpected tablescapes designs and immersive entertainment.

Official wedding ceremony on the Friday following by an intimate dinner at your favorite restaurant. Just you and your closest people, enjoying the intimacy and celebrating the official union in a relaxed setting.
Saturday is reserved for the wedding breakfast and party. With a 5pm start, you will have the whole day to yourself (coffee in bed, a massage) get ready in a relaxed atmosphere giving you the luxury of time, eliminating the rush and pressure often associated with traditional wedding day preparations. You can then party until early hours, fully immersing yourself in the celebration.

Children or no children at weddings?

A controversial subject over the years but what is the best approach?

Simple, the couples who already have children will want them to be a part of the wedding day, of course. Does that mean you have to invite other kids? No, unless you want to.

If a couple hasn’t got kids already, it’s very unlikely to invite any.

If you are a guest, just comply with the couples decision to have or not to have, don’t question it, or worse, don’t just turn up with the child, that’s just disrespectful. If you are not sure, ask the couple, or the planner in advance.

WHY CHOOSE LUCIA PENMAN EVENTS?

Being reactive rather than proactive is one of the skills I bring to the table, and anticipating demands is what makes me excellent at what I do.

That entails anticipating all possible circumstances and “what ifs” and being prepared with solutions. That includes thinking on the fly at times.
Also, anticipating what my clients and their guests require before they do.

That extends to all aspects of the experience, from bridal kits in case someone needs a band-aid, to nausea sachets for nervous brides, to a backless chair for the bride's gown to be captured beautifully in photos, or delivering a goodie basket to their room in case they are hungry before bed, to planning the flow of the event and ensuring there are no awkward pauses.

Misinformation regarding wedding suppliers unjustly inflating prices when the word
"wedding" is mentioned is not only misleading but also undermines the significant dedication and skill that these professionals bring to their craft.

Wedding suppliers, whether they are photographers, caterers, florists, or any other service provider, undergo extensive training and invest substantial time and resources to develop their expertise. The artistry and attention to detail required in creating memorable weddings are unparalleled, and it is essential to recognize the value of their work.

The cost of operating a wedding-related business can be substantial - quality materials, workspaces, systems.
Additionally, they need to continually update their skills, keep up with the latest trends, and invest in marketing efforts to stay competitive in the industry.

Weddings themselves are significant events that involve meticulous planning, coordination, and ex*****on. Suppliers understand the unique demands and pressures associated with weddings, including the need to deliver exceptional experiences for couples and their guests. Their prices reflect the expertise, experience, and resources required to meet these expectations.

Misinformation that falsely accuses wedding suppliers of adding zeros to their prices based solely on the word "wedding" is not only damaging to their reputation but also undermines the integrity of the industry.

My dears,

Firstly I would like to thank all of you for the continued support, some of you were here from the beginning of my journey and saw a few changes along the way. From where I started to where I am now, I must say I have learnt a few, and it has been a magnificent journey to discover what sets me apart and who my ideal client is.

With that revelation in mind, a rebrand has been initiated and I am very excited to announce my new business name, which is more personal…and more me!

ON THE DAY COORDINATION

What does it mean?

This form of coordination often begins a few weeks before the wedding day, when the coordinator will review all vendor contracts and establish a thorough timeline for the day. On the wedding day, the coordinator will oversee the setup of the ceremony and reception venues, coordinate with vendors, manage the timeline, and handle any last-minute concerns that may emerge.
The purpose of on-the-day coordination is to allow the couple and their families to relax and enjoy their wonderful day without having to worry about any logistical or organisational tasks.

My advice - if you are going to spend a lot of money on your wedding day, please enjoy it - hire a wedding coordinator.

We hear a lot of “the venue is assigning a coordinator for the day so I won’t need one”

Yes they do, but they are venue coordinators. You will have to create the timeline yourself and provide all the information for the day, oversee the set up is done as you have envisaged and mainly , any issues that might arise - they come to you for answers and decisions 🤔

TABLESCAPE

Create a stunning centerpiece that serves as the focal point of the tablescape. This could be a floral arrangement, a cluster of candles, or a combination of both.
4. Add height and dimension: Vary the height and size of the centerpiece and other decorative elements on the table to add visual interest.
5. Personalize the place settings:
