We have some lovely summer workshops planned from the field in August so lots of work has been happening behind the scenes in preparation 😃.
Each of the workshops provide a lovely opportunity to take some time out the normal hustle and bustle of life and join like minded people who love the joy of seasonal flowers.

Following on from the lovely feedback from our Yoga Flora workshops, Nyree and I are excited to be inviting you to our first Flower & Flow workshop from the field The 3 hour workshop will include a morning of restorative yoga followed by a tour of the flower beds here at Heath Farm and an opportunity to create your own hand tied bouquet.

For me, there is something very personal about wedding flowers being arranged by family and friends, that adds to the memories of the special day.
I quite often get asked if I do workshops on how to create a bridal bouquet and button holes. Although I am happy to demonstrate a simple hand tied arrangement, I recognise that creating that extra special bouquet, that will be remembered in beautiful photos for years to come, requires the skills of someone more qualified than me.
That is why I am over the moon to be hosting a small workshop with Sera from who will guide participants through the art of creating a beautiful bridal bouquet and complimenting button holes here at Heath Farm.
The workshop will include a bucket of luxury seasonal flowers to create your own arrangement, with a tour of the flower beds to connect with where and how your flowers have been grown.

There is something about these buckets of flowers that I absolutely adore.
They were specially cut to create the most stunning farewell arrangements by Sera for a Client who had recently lost a loved one.
These arrangements really do demonstrate the natural wildness British Flowers bring to an floral design. . So beautiful 💕

I've had a few bouquets today this week for some very special occasions.
For me, flowers from a local grower come with that personal touch as you know they have been selected and cut whilst thinking of the purpose of the bouquet and the individual receiving them.
I feel very privileged to play a very small part in making someone feel valued by passing on the thoughts of loved ones and friends through flowers 💕💐

It's definitely been a hot one this week 🥵 The flower field has been bursting with colour with all the extra sun 🌞 and for the first time this summer I have had to water the outdoor beds (which I haven't missed!). We use a lot of mulch on our beds to help retain moisture as much as possible to reduce our water usage.
I personally love Autumn, the cooler evenings and changing colours but it has been a bit of a bonus to have a bit of late summer sunshine.

This year I have grown poppies for the sole purpose of using their seed heads in arrangements but it is a flower bed that makes me stop every time I go past it and just enjoy the moment.
Such delicate, beautiful flowers that are only fleetingly available to be admired.
