Another great day at Bridlington King Street Market food festival not quite a sell out (unlike yesterday) but that meant some food "swaps" with other traders.

Today I got:
An IMMENSE buttermilk chicken, smashed pattie, halloumi burger with BBQ sauce and chilli jam from We are the bucket list

Stuffed arancini from Haisthorpe Supper Club

Chicken noodles with spicy peanut sauce from shiokstreetfood

Crab cakes and samphire bahji's from the Old Lifeboat Station

Mince pie cheesecake and white chocolate and lemon cheesecake horn from Choc&Cheese

Cracking food and good folk

When we don't fancy eating pizza, we enjoy a good Sunday lunch and last night we headed to the Wansford Trout Inn for the first time since it reopened a few months ago.

It is a fixed Sunday lunch menu (serving until 8pm) and is possibly one of the best sunday lunches we have had in a very long time.

The meal was very reasonable priced, was delicious and we left feeling full.

We will always support local business but will shout about those exceptional ones.. the Trout Inn is well worth a visit if you are in the East Riding area and when you go.. invite me please.

Here we are on the Nafferton recreation field earlier today supporting the LEE Karate interclub championship competition today.

We were very impressed with what we managed to see, well done everyone!

Pumpkin picking season for 2024 is done!

We've finished our last day at The Pumpkin Patch At Bewholme serving you all our pizzas - did many of you try our pumpkin pizzas?

We've had the best few weeks supporting our local pumpkin patch along with Mimi’s Horsebox keeping you all fed and watered as youve enjoyed your day out at what is no doubt the best patch in East Yorkshire.

Last day tomorrow for you to grab some pumpkins and try our fresh delicious pizzas. With a range of our pumpkin patch specials 🍕💚

Pumpkin Update for Wednesday 30th October 🧡🎃

It’s been lovely to see so many of you down at The Pumpkin Patch again today! Even though the field has been running super low on pumpkins we’ve been amazed at how many you have still been able to find! 😃 However, the field is now very, very low on pumpkins and those of you who join us tomorrow will be picking the last of them. 🧡 Honesty is the best policy therefore you can expect to go on a pumpkin hunt to track down the last available pumpkins from the season. There are still thousands of sunflowers available for picking 🌻

The field will be open from 10am and for as long as we have pumpkins left.
Wellies/boots are an absolute must due to the field being very wet and muddy. 🥾 💦

The Pumpkin Shop has a small amount of pumpkins and squashes remaining for anyone who doesn’t want to brave the mud! 💦

The Pumpkin Patch (PYO & Shop) will close at 4pm Wednesday evening if not before. We won’t be open Thursday 31st October. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these changes but we want to be as honest as possible.

Pumpkin Update for Tuesday 29th October 🎃 - PLEASE READ

After another busy day of pumpkin picking the PYO field is certainly emptying out now. We do still have a few hundred pumpkins remaining but you will need to be prepared to go hunting for them! 😃 Wellies/boots are an absolute must due to the field being very wet and muddy. 🥾 💦

The PYO field will be open tomorrow from 10am-4pm and will remain so while we have enough pumpkins. 🧡There are still thousands of sunflowers available for picking. 🌻
The Trailer ride will remain closed tomorrow & is likely to remain so for the rest of the season.

The pumpkin shop at the farm will remain open tomorrow while there are still pumpkins available there. (We expect the Pumpkin Shop area to be closed after tomorrow)

Wednesday 30th - we intend to be open if there are pumpkins available
Thursday 31st - we anticipate that we will be closed at both the PYO & Pumpkin Shop at this point 🧡

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these changes but we want to be as honest as possible with regards to what we can offer. We only ever grow as much as what we think will be picked over the course of the season.
