The Peel Centre, Dronfield

The Peel Centre, Dronfield The Peel Centre is a community venue in the centre of Dronfield. We also have a small meeting room seating 25 theatre style or 15 committee style.

The centre comprises a large hall and medium sized hall along with a smaller meeting room all of which are available for hire to Clubs, Societies, and Private Functions. The Peel Centre is an excellent town centre venue for Amateur Dramatics or Dance Rehearsals, Education, Business and Training, Club and Association Meetings, Art and Craft Groups, Political Meetings, Religious Meetings, Light Spor

ting Activities, Wedding Receptions, Anniversary and Birthdays Celebrations, MP’s and Councillors Surgeries. It comprises a large upper hall accessible by staircase (stairlift available) with seating for up to 100 people theatre style or 72 people around 12 tables. There is access to a servery with boiling water, washing up facilities and a limited range of crockery and glassware provided. At ground level there are toilets and a smaller hall which can accommodate 50 seated in theatre style or a maximum of 8 tables seating 48 people. There is a small servery area with boiling water and washing up facilities with a limited range of crockery and glassware provided. For physically impaired and disabled people we have a street level entrance from outside through a lobby area.

GET INVOLVED - BECOME A TRUSTEE

The Peel Centre is used by many community groups. Run by a Management Team on behalf of the Peel Centre Charitable Trust (CIO) it is a completely independent organisation.

We have plans to make improvements to the Grade II listed building so now is an exciting time to get involved. To help us on this journey we are looking for new Trustees to join the team and take the organisation forward.

No prior Trustee experience is required and our meetings are held once a month in the evening at the Peel Centre.

Although our building is old we try to make our rooms as accessible as possible for you comfort and enjoyment.

Our upper hall can be accessed via a stairlift and we also have a large accessible toilet on the ground floor.

Our Thomas Taylor hall is perfect for craft groups.

It's a lovely bright space with plenty of natural light as well as ceiling lights.

There are plenty of electrical sockets and level access for bringing in all of your bits and bobs.

Tables are available from the storage cupboard in the room and you'll also have access to drink making facilities in the small servery.
