We are looking for a mature couple to join us on Monday, April 7th, from approximately 8AM – 2PM to take part in a beautiful styled wedding photoshoot at The Barn.

Don't miss out!!! Dronfield's Historic Buildings Exhibition last day is tomorrow, Friday 28 March. This fabulous exhibition looks at some of the listed and fascinating buildings, peoples and histories that make up Dronfield's historic centre and past.

Attend with friends and family for the ultimate Mother's Day, Easter or beginning of Spring experience!

The workshop will last for approximately two hours and you will leave with a gorgeous Spring wreath

'The first days of Spring' wreath features all locally sourced foliage on a handmade willow wreath ring

Longevity of design is important to us when designing these workshops. This is why we have chosen to create living wreaths. This means that once the wreath is finished on the door or outdoor table, the plants can be re-used or recycled

We will include all the materials to create a beautiful design for your front door. But please bring anything you would like to personalise your own wreath

Refreshments will be available to purchase on site

Tomorrow 25 March. 10:30am. Join John Harvey on this walking tour of Dronfield’s historic buildings. This walk has a particular focus on Dronfield’s buildingsand the people and businesses who lived and built them.

The walks will be at a gentle pace with plenty of stops.

This walk is starting and finishing from the Dronfield Hall Barn.

We have board games available so no need for any electrical devices, just a relaxing evening spent with family/friends catching up over good food and drinks.

We have two new books available at the Barn. Dronfield's Remarkable Women and Dronfield's Historic Buildings. They are available at the Barn, Amazon or online.

Dronfield's Remarkable Women tells the histories of 4 women who were born, lived or died in Dronfield. Sarah Outram, Charlotte Mary Ward, Olive Adlington and Edith Gregory. These women made huge contributions to Dronfield and the world.

Dronfield's Historic Buildings looks at the buildings left behind and the people who lived, worked and used them. Dronfield’s rich legacy of historic buildings owes much to its location on the edge of the Peak District’s lead-ore wealth, the local mineral wealth of coal and iron, and particularly to the entrepreneurship of individuals such as Ralph Burton and John Rotherham in the 18th century and later of the Lucas family in the 19th and 20th century.
