Do you know someone who loves coming to the barn.

Whether it be for breakfast, lunch, tea and cake, afternoon tea or just to enjoy our beautiful tranquil gardens.

You still have time to buy them a gift for Christmas. We have afternoon tea vouchers, denomination vouchers or friends of the barn memberships, we have until Wednesday to get anything posted out to you, or you can just call in and pick them up.

Christmas countdown has began, with less than 10 days until we close, why not pop in this weekend!

The countdown is on – just 3 days to go until we are hosting this year’s Ladies Voices Christmas Concert here at Dronfield Hall Barn and we cannot wait!

🎶 Join us this Saturday, December 14th for an evening of festive music and cheer. Tickets are selling fast, but there are still some available for the 8:15pm performance.

Doors open at 5:30pm. We have our fabulous bar open all evening service by drink and snacks will be served before and during the concert!

Have you done our Build the Barn Gingerbread House competition? If not, why not! We would love to see your bakes inspired by our 600-year-old building

If you need help making and decorating a gingerbread Barn, you can buy our gingerbread house kits online or at the Barn. These kits come with all the ingredients weighed out and an easy-to-follow recipe sheet

It’s a lazy Sunday kind of day, don’t worry our coffee shop is nice and dry and full of lovely tasty delights. Why not pop down.

We are open from 9, treat yourself to a full English breakfast served until 11.30.

Sunday lunch special served from 12, large Yorkshire pudding filled with sausage casserole potatoes and green beans!

We have plenty of sweet treats too. We can box them up for you to enjoy at home!

How often do you disappear down a rabbit hole on the internet looking for information about a product you want to buy? Our artisan traders are proud to say that they make their products themselves and can therefore tell you everything you need to know.

Venture out on Friday evening or Saturday to see what a huge range of products are available. Your Book Corner - an Independent Usborne Partner will have something for our younger visitors, Studio Budgie Galore will be able to tell you about their workshops in Sheffield and The Busy Box Room will have an exciting selection of silver jewellery and fused glass gifts. This weekend will be the last opportunity this year to visit our market here at the Barn.

November 26. 7pm. Join Chris and Sarah from the Knights in Battle in the immersive and interactive talk about a barber surgeon and a wise women

The Barber-Surgeon’s Tale covers many of the more gruesome elements of medieval medicine. A strong stomach is recommended to hear of amputations and tooth drawings, bleeding and arrow-extraction, methods of diagnosis and the ever-popular application of medicines. ‘John Barber’ has appeared in several TV programmes (twice with Sir Tony Robinson!) and has been delighting and revolting audiences for many years.

The wise woman, as the title invokes many different reactions in people – fear, contempt, suspicion, ridicule. But who was the wisewoman really and what did she actually do? This talk explores this deeply misunderstood and misrepresented character and her role in history. Picking our way through the often obscured and corrupted clues from the past, we explore the wise woman’s medicine, her magic and how she was transformed from a useful member of society into the wicked witch we know and fear today.
