Our Christmas market is so large that we always have to really spread out. We've got 20 stalls in our front and rear gardens as well as our courtyard and upstairs gallery. BUT WE HAVEN'T STOPPED THERE!!

We've also taken over the The Peel Centre, Dronfield just over the road and with 13 stalls upstairs an 7 stalls downstairs it's really going to be well worth a visit.

Access to both of these venues is off the High Street and StarSilver jewellery, Neil Duggan Art and The Luxury Candle Co are three of our amazing artisans who will be joining us. Just 3 of a huge group of local traders who will have some amazing products available for those perfect and unique Christmas gifts that aren't available in the shops.

Don't do all of your shopping on the internet this Christmas. By visiting our market at the Barn not only can you meet the actual makers of the products you're buying but also you can help to reduce your carbon footprint by buying locally (especially if you come on foot).

All of our makers love to talk and can tell you exactly how they've made each piece. It's also a well known fact that they do a little happy dance each time they sell something. Grown Crafting, and K J Woodturning will be joining us on the Friday night and all day Saturday so why not pop along and have a chat.

It is the perfect day to try our selection of snowy winters warmers, from warm spiced mulled wine and Barn-made mince pies to our winter stew and steaming mugs of Arden's coffee. The final instalment of the Historic Suburbs of Sheffield series exploring the city’s fascinating local history and heritage.

This illustrated talk delves into the history of Hillsborough with its famous Barracks connected to the Crimean War and George Lambert’s VC from the Indian Mutiny of 1857-58.

Other historical areas of Sheffield are explored including Woodhouse with its surviving 17tth century buildings and Wincobank, one of Sheffield’s most ancient suburbs, dating back to the Iron Age and the Brigantes tribe-Celtic warriors

New to our market is Moorland Meat a great stall to visit if you're looking for something tasty to take home and cook. A firm favourite in the Barn gardens will be Handford Made with a selection of gifts for young and old alike.

Most people who visit the barn will already know sally, our lovely kitchen assistant.

Sally has been with the barn for a while now and she is a real assist to the team. She works tirelessly in the kitchen making freshly baked scones, breakfast and lunches while still looking glamorous.

Starting this week we are offering festive treats. First up are Sally’s mince pies, these are delicious. Why not treat yourself to one with a glass of mulled wine.
