🤍Wedding of Briagh & Kieran – November 16th, 2024🤍

On September 30th, 2024, Briagh and Kieran contacted us with the exciting news that they wished to marry and were hoping for a November wedding. “Fantastic! Do you have a date in mind?” we asked as we opened the 2025 diary. Their reply: November 16th, 2024. Switching to the 2024 diary, we noted there were only 47 days to plan—definitely achievable!

We promptly scheduled their first wedding consultation for the following morning. During this meeting, we discussed their vision for the day, & discussed key details. Within a couple of days the deposit was paid & most arrangements were finalized. Their first official task was submitting their marriage schedules, which must be filed at least one month prior to the wedding date.

The Ceremony

The wedding took place on the hotel grounds at 2:00 PM, officiated by Janice Bannister. Guests were greeted by the stirring sounds of a piper before the ceremony, and the couple selected their ceremony music to be played via a speaker.

Drinks Reception 🥂 🍹

After the ceremony, their 52 guests were offered a choice of prosecco or beer. As a special touch, the couple arranged for His-and-Hers signature cocktails to be available throughout the day: a spicy margarita and a French martini—delightful choices! Guests also enjoyed an assortment of canapés during the drinks reception, including:

Mini Cottage Pies
Haggis, Neeps & Tatties Bon Bons
Chilli-Crusted Filo Prawns
Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese & Chive Blinis
Grilled Halloumi on Toasted Croute with Basil & Balsamic Glaze

(Dietary requirements were fully accommodated.)

Wedding Breakfast 😋

🎤 The speeches were delivered prior to the meal, allowing the speakers to relax and enjoy their meals afterward. Prosecco was served to all guests for the toasts.

🥘 The wedding breakfast menu featured a delicious selection, with dietary requirements thoughtfully catered for:

Homemade Lentil Soup with Crusty Bread (V)

Trio of Mini Appetizers:
Quenelle of Pâté with Mini Oatcakes
Mini Bruschetta with Basil Pesto
Breaded Brie with Cranberry Sauce

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Haggis, accompanied by a Cream Pepper Sauce

Roast Galloway Beef with Yorkshire Pudding and Rich Jus
(Both served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes)

Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Tartlet topped with Onion Marmalade, served with Dressed Leaves & Roasted Potatoes (VGN)

Seasonal Fresh Berry Meringue with Chantilly Cream

Entertainment and Evening Reception 🪩 💃🏻 🕺

As a surprise from the bridal party, singing waiters entertained guests during the meal, concluding with an Abba medley that had everyone on their feet.

The evening reception began at 7:00–7:30 PM, welcoming an additional 70 guests. By 8:00 PM, the cake was cut, and the first dance commenced, allowing the newlyweds to relax and enjoy the rest of their evening.

A live band provided music from 8:00 PM to midnight, setting a lively tone for the celebrations. In a fun and personal touch, Briagh and Kieran pre-arranged a selection of drinks, including Fireball (a family favourite), 30 tequila slammers, and 30 Baby Guinness shots, served via a jazzy drinks trolley they supplied.

Personal Touches 😍

The couple arrived the day prior to add their personal decorations to the garden pavilion—a service we’re delighted to offer whenever possible, even a few days in advance.

It was an honour to host Briagh and Kieran’s special day. From the heartfelt ceremony to the spirited evening celebration, their wedding was a wonderful reflection of their personality and love.
