South Belton fruit Farm, Dunbar July 28th 2012 Meursault - Remember Remember - Fatherson - Bwani Junction - Found - Capitals - Kitty the Lion For one weekend this summer, Scotland’s only dedicated cider-makers will give their time and attention to some of Scotland’s most dedicated musicians, and they think you should too. A mainstay at many of Scotland’s independent music festivals, the bond betw
een Thistly Cross and good music is already a strong one, and now the people behind the cider are inviting you along to the shed where it all began to explore a little further. Acts confirmed for the day long indoor festival include; Woodenbox, Remember Remember, Found, Bwani Junction, Capitals, Kitty The Lion, Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit solo show), Fatherson and, on the cusp of their third Album, Edinburgh band of the moment Meursault. Organisers will also be running a competition for local musicians to come along and showcase their talents with four acoustic slots available on the big stage, details of this can be found on the website at www.thistlycrosscider.co.uk. With more acts still to be announced and exclusive acoustic performances on the day, as well as fruit picking and fine foods to be had between bands, and of course all six varieties of hand-pressed Thistly Cross Cider, the inaugural ‘Thistly Fest’ is sure to go down as one of the best new festivals on the circuit this year.
